7 month old outgrowing co-sleeper...now what??

DS2 has been sleeps most the night in his co-sleeper, but is now starting to outgrow it. I need suggestions of what to do from here. DS1 sleeps in his bed with DH and I don't want to bring DS2 into our bed too much because the difficulty we have had with transitioning DS1. Our bed is pretty high up and don't feel comfortable with putting a mattress on the floor. I also don't think a regular crib would fit in our room next to our bed. Is there any other options out there that I am not aware of???

does your DS2 sleep in the the bassinet part of the co-sleeper, or have you taken that out and have him sleeping in the the lower pack-n-play portion?

DS is 6 months and is sleeping in the low part (pack-n-play) of our co-sleeper. I think he can be in there a while longer, but I am considering a couple options. (our bed is high off the ground also) -

either getting rid of our bed, the footboard takes up a lot of space and the bed is NOISY when. well. . and just using a bedframe with a crib mattress next to it

or maybe getting a mini-crib to go along side or at least in the same room with us. I don't know that it would be that much larger than the co-sleeper though.

some cribs don't take up a great deal of space though.

Good point about the lower part......I had forgotten the co-sleep could do that. My only concern is that lifting him out of there from such a long ways up might be really hard on me.

depending on the crib, it might not be much easiier. most of the fixed side cribs are rather high, and I am a short gal - 4 feet 11 - it is hard getting DS in and out of those.
