Cervix postpartum

Thread Starter
Like, wayyy postpartum. I gave birth over a year ago, and my cervix feels VERY different than it did before birth. It doesn't matter when in my cycle I check it, it feels well over a finger width open, although in a slit, not a circle. Is that normal? Is it a problem?
(My next exam with my midwife isn't until July.)

I know the cervix does change after a birth - but I don't think it is normally an issue. This is part of why some moms have shorter labors with each birth. Sorry I don't know more...

Slit is perfectly normal. the os (that's what the cervix hole is called) is round before birth and a slit after.

It will still "do" what it used to during your cycle. Like be high, then lower and open. You just have to get used to the new version of open and closed!
