score from a neighbor!

A neighbor lent me a whole bunch of diaper covers that she is not using right now. Many of them are Motherease and there are a handful of Gerber ones (I didn't even know Gerber made them).

How do people like these? I have heard lots of good things about Motherease but never anything about the Gerber diaper covers. They don't seem like they would breath all that well as they look waterproof/resistant both inside and out. Thoughts?

I don't know about the mother ease covers, but if the Gerber are the plastic pull on pants, they don't breath and get brittle quickly. One helpful hint is to hang dry them. Drying in the drier really makes them dry our even quicker. They will get the job done but would be better left for backup.

That was nice of your neighbor! Every little bit helps!

i love motherease airflow.

i keep a cheap bummis pull on in the diaperbag as a back up. so while the gerber might not be something you want use on a regular basis, it's nice to have spares.

I loved using the Gerbers with DS. They held everything in. Yeah, they wear out quicker than other covers, but no leaks, ever. Although I hadn't yet discovered Thirsties covers when DS was a baby. We still use Gerber covers for DS at 2. He has had one diaper rash his whole life...started when he was teething and pooping 5 times a day. So, even without the breathability, he's okay in them.
