What do you use doublers for?

Stupid question time (I'm new to this!)

I have both FB and BG. I thought I stuffed them both (I noticed the BG had a liner build-in, but also an opening where I could stuff it if I wanted?)

What do I use a doubler for? I ordered 6, thinking they would go in the pocket part, but the description clearly states they aren't for pocket diapers and they would leak.

I assume I'm totally confused, but what do you use them for? They look just like the inserts I have for FB and what I thought went into BG too.

intended use: with prefolds, place fleece part next to skin. fleece will wick urine away from baby into prefold.

you CAN use an additional insert in a pocket for nighttime. I use a hemp insert, folded in half and all the way to the front. (for a baby boy)

i have those doublers for when i know i wont be able to change my ds right away and he might have to stay wet longer than i would like

i only have one pocket diaper (we use prefolds) and i stuff it with a folded up flannel recieving blanket.

We use doublers at night - ours are actually just smaller prefolds folded up & tucked inside.

You use them for any time one insert- or the built in insert in a bunGenius all-in-one - isn't going to be enough. Your dipes likely don't mean that stuffing a doubler behind the sewn in soaker/insert will make it leak, they just mean don't go get a pocket diaper, stuff it w/just one doubler, and expect that to work.

I use doublers for extra absorbency... because otherwise my little guy can soak most of our dipes with a single pee - he just pees a LOT.

And at night, he's in two PFs with at least one doubler in his wet zone, and he still wakes up SOAKED.
