uranus transits natal sun - how much fun is this going to be?!

i like to refer back to tracy's new moon articles throughout each cycle, not just on the new moon, and today i was re-reading the section on uranus entering aries (tomorrow, on the full moon, how exciting!). then i realized, um, i'm an aries! a very early aries too, so i decided to look up this transit.

it might sound a little scary, but i am all about change and greater independence right now, so i plan to make the most of it.

any pisces mamas want to weigh in on how this has been treating you for the past . . . what, 6-8 years, or is it exactly 7? i don't know that much about this stuff.

i looked this up in the transits book i have. i was going to tell you what it says about the uranus/sun transit. BUT if i am understanding this right, the uranus/ sun transit is when uranus OPPOSES your natal sun. What you are describing is that your natal sun and uranus are conjunct. from what i am reading in this old book, it sounds like that is different from a transit. but i could be understanding it wrong....

that article i linked to included all different aspects, but maybe an opposition is more significant than a conjuction (since your book focuses on oppositions). i'm learning!

I realize this is a bit old, but....

Transits are given many labels depending on how many degree's are between the two planets in question. Planets are continuously transiting (in movement) unlike the stationary planets of our birth charts. Like a Uranus transit opposing your N.Sun means there are approximately 180 degrees between the two planets. When plotted on a chart they will be opposite. A Uranus transit conjoining your N.Sun means that the two planets have approximately 8 degree's between them. When plotted on a chart they will be side-by-side or on top of each other. So both are transits, they are just given different characteristics depending on the degree's. Which transits are the most powerful is quite subjective depending on the astrologer and/or the person experiencing the transit. I think there is a general consensus that the conjunction and opposition are both very powerful and most transformative.
