Would you rec the Janome TB30 or DC3050?

Hi,

I'm looking for a new sewing machine and would love some advice. I'm trying to decide between the Janome TreadBanger 30 and the Janome DC3050.

I used to sew on my mom's old singer but that was over a decade ago, and since I have bought a newer singer that I cannot stand. I'm still in beginner status as a sewer since I haven't been sewing regularly, but I really want to improve!

I'll be sewing with heavier fabrics, making pillow covers, handbags, hopefully a few slipcovers/drapes/duvet covers as I get better. I really need something that will not give me tension issues as this brought me to tears with the singer and I am not advanced enough to understand how to fix tension issues.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
TIA.

I have the threadbanger and really love it! I guess it depends on what you want to do with it. I use it for quilting mostly. I faxed in this offer, even though it looks older, it still works and they sent me a huge collection of thread in every color! http://www.threadbanger.com/page/janome

Thanks, Sweet Tea! I actually ended up getting a Janome 11510 (refurbished) on Overstock.com. So far I am loving it! It's the best machine I've ever used and sews through home decor fabric without any problems.

It's so nice to have a machine that you can count on. The Threadbanger looked great too but may have been a bit more than I need right now (I'm still a beginner), and that thread deal sounds awesome.
