Solar

Thread Starter
We are buying small home with no mortgage. It needs some work so we may take a small loan to fix it up. We would like to add solar to help make if self sufficient. Any suggestions? DH is thinking he should be able to install most of it himself (he is a builder) and then have an electrician hook it up.

Tips on incentives, rebates, best deals, etc. would be helpful.

We haven't gone that route yet, but have looked into it. Hopefully you live in a state with good programs. We're in PA, so ours aren't that great. NJ, LA, CA to name a few, have fantastic state programs, in addition to the federal incentives.

This is the best one-stop of all the available incentive programs that I know of.
