i just had my landscaping done and i have a fence with grass in the middle (so the dog cant get on the grass unless i let them) and mulch around the edges for them to run on. i am on a 1/2 ac...

the weeds are CRAZY in the mulch area. it would take me a week just to get them all pulled, just to start again in another week. they are out of control and they are not the 'nice' weed they are the pokie, gross thisle kind.

is there a weed killer that is safe for dogs? fabric is not a choice because the dogs will dig it up anyway.

other then pulling how the heck can i control the weed issue i am having!

If it's just on the mulch, you can put salt on the weeds. But if it's in the grass, well the salt will kill the grass too.

Try pouring boiling water onto them.

Well any kind of salt really, we usually buy a bag from the feed mill but even driveway salt works too.
