Shampoo bar for kids and for oily hair

My kids make bubble bath out of our organic shampoo. It takes a second for them to spill the bottle . I need something cheaper.

Which bars are good and not too expensive. For myself - I have oily hair, and BS works O.K., - it'll take 2 days for my hair to get very oily, and sooner with shampoo. ACV I do from time to time, too often and my hair is right away oily.

Thanks, Ana

I'm looking for a good shampoo bar, too, and one that's available in Canada, or for not crazy expensive shipping to Canada.

The Soap Works makes one, which is available at our local HFS (for $2), but I read a few reviews that are not great.

Burt's Bees makes one, but it seems it's only available in a kit with other stuff.

I just started looking on Etsy last night, and am plugging ingredients into the skindeep cosmetics database to get a provisional report. So far, I found some of the ones from swanmountainsoaps are good as long as they don't have added synthetic fragrance - they are $6 and shipping varies depeding on how many you get.

Lush makes one, but it doesn't rate well on the database.

Thank you. I can have it shipped to the US too. Any other companies around?

Thanks, Ana

I use the Soap Works bar and I find it's pretty good. Hasn't made my hair oily which some bars tend to do. It's pretty cheap too, which is a good incentive.

i find its the additives like herbs and essential oils that work really well in the shampoo bars i make. maybe look for castor oil it adds lather.

I order my soap and shampoo bars from www.chagrinvalleysoapandcraft.com. LOVE them. They are in the US and ship very quickly. They have samples you can try out as well, before buying a full size. I do a vinegar rinse after using the bars as well. Not all the time, but just depending on how my hair is feeling.
