Yay! I might re-read the others but to be honest I've read them so many times I'm not sure it's necessary.

There was supposed to be 2 more books but I guess Auel figured that at her age an the amount of time it takes her to research and write a book she probably wouldnt get it done. She is or will be 74 yo soon.

I have high hopes for this book. I was disappointed with SOS a bit. I want closure for sure.

She has to research all those sex scenes, you know.

I really hope she is able to bring closure to everything. I really feel here are a lot of things that have been left very unresolved.

I usually prefer paperbacks (I read in the bath) but I can't wait an extra year for it.

I know what I'm getting for my birthday (It's in March)

My bday is in March to I am the same way prefer paperback much easier reading in the bath that way. But I will get the hardback then trade it in for a paperback when it becomes available.

Then I have to get it on CD as well because I listen to the books going to sleep at night I have actually worn out 3 cd players in the last 9 years listening to them

I'm going to see if I can buy it for my Kobo, then I can read it in the bath.

I also have a March birthday and now know what I'm going to ask for. I'm so excited for a new book--will need to reread the last 2 or 3 to refresh my memory (I seem to reread everytime a new one comes out).

I totally told DH last night that this is my birthday gift.

Wow. I was wondering if she'd write it in time!

This is awful, but I'm going to have to reread the books. There a big chunks that I can't remember. The earlier books I've read more than once, but the later ones... Plus it seems like some of them are painfully long. Which one was it? Plains of passage?

Yeah, one of them it felt like 75% of the book was describing the landscape. I kept flipping through until the words "flowers" and "grasses" stopped appearing so often.

I'm having mixed feelings about this... was I the only one that really didn't like the 5th book? Loved the first 4, but the 5th was such a HUGE disappointment.
