I have a 3yo dd named Sofia. And for this new baby girl we really like Gianna but Gia for short. Is it too weird to have a Sofia and Gia?

I love the name Gianna. My girls sound similar (Bailey, Riley, and Rory), but I wouldn't personally chose names that rhyme.

Of course, when she's doing something she's not supposed to, she gets the full first and middle in classic "I'm serious" fashion! But at preschool, she goes by her full name, not the nickname. So it is just the family that uses "Gia".
