DD's allergy bucket is pretty full these last couple of days. Seasonal stuff is really bad around here and she has spent the last 2 days in the country outside. Her eczema has flared and she has been itching her face. I gave her a bath last night. Today when we got home I put her in the bath again. I always bathe her with her older sister. I was in a hurry today and wanted to bathe my 7mo as well, so I threw all 3 girls in the tub at once. It seems like as soon as the 7mo hit the water, dd started itching like crazy. Her whole torso flared up. It was red and itchy and had some hives. Her face also got blotchy with a couple of hives. She also had some blotchiness and hives on her back. I quick got the baby washed then washed her. I got her out and dried her off and now it is getting better.
Nothing has been poured in the tub. The baby is bathed with the same soap and shampoo as the older girls. The baby is usually bathed by herself in a baby bathtub, but the water from that tub is poured out in the big tub. I don't use any lotions or anything on the baby. Right now my only thought is that the baby is bfed (and dd reacted to my bm) and perhaps dd was reacting to the pee that may have been on the baby's skin? That sounds totally far fetched, but I don't know what else it can be. Any ideas?
