has anyone ever gotten a yeast infection an then gotten there period?

I felt like i had a yeast infection coming on 2 days ago (ive never had one before) I was super itchy and i started a garlic regiment well this morning i started my period the itchyness has stopped but i'm not sure if the infection went away has this ever happened to anyone and what did u do?

Yeah all kinds of weird things can happen to me down there before a period. Or sometimes I get BV that just comes and goes as it pleases.

Maybe the garlic calmed it down or the flow from your period "washed" you out a bit?

I guess if it starts up again you'll know it's probably a real yeast infection.

ya i'm hoping my period just flushes it out. i was feeling some candida in my ears too thats why i thought it might be a yeast infection. i had taken a morning after pill an thought it might be a reaction from that too

I had what I thought was regular yeast infections. Went to my doctor and it turns out it was just irritation. I've noticed that it comes on just before my period every month. I use a bit of hydrocortisone and that clears it up (I generally only have to use it a couple of times)

the only problem is that i've never had this happen ever before. and its still kinda irritating me during my period.

I hadn't had it happen before a few months ago either. I don't know what caused it, I hadn't changed soaps or washing powders etc. Before I discovered what it was and treated it it would go on for days and drive me insane!

i'm still thinking this is a yeast infection usually i have a pretty normal period smell down there an this time it smells like something 'died' down there. idk its weird i have a pap scheduled next week so i'll just ask her when i go in i guess since knowone here has had it happened

When you don't have your period, does yeast make your cervical mucous smell like parmesan?
