Will this yarn make a decent soaker?

I just got some yarn in the mail and it is so very soft and pretty , but I don't know if it will make a good soaker or not. It's 55% suri alpaca and 45% extra fine merino, worsted weight. What do you ladies think? If it won't be good for the soaker portion, I could just use it for the legs of longies or the skirt part of a skirtie, but it's soooo pretty that I want to order a bunch more!

That is too much alpaca to be an effective soaker. With something that nice and soft I would either make something for myself or a baby sweater.

I would have to agree, it sounds delicious though!

A baby sweater, that's a great idea! Searching ravelry for a good pattern now. Thanks for the inspiration!
