Has anyone used a Baltic amber necklace for teething?

I'm actually asking this for a friend whose baby is only 3 months old but already teething (poor baby and poor mama!), but I'm interested in hearing your experiences as well, because I won a necklace recently and will be using it when Cecilia starts teething.

So-- who has actually seen results from using an amber necklace? Did you use it all the time, or take it off sometimes? Was it always in skin contact? I assume it has to be. Did you LO leave it alone or was that an uphill battle? Share your experiences! Thanks, mamas!

I used an amber necklace with DD, at first I wasn't sure if it worked or not, but then for one tooth she didn't have it on (her older cousin took it off her and it took me awhile to find it again) and that tooth was so much worse than others had been. That convinced me that it worked. And if that didn't convince me this did; I just noticed yesterday that her 2year molars came in, I had no idea she was even teething with those. (*Results were not quite as profound with other teeth)

She wore it all the time and we never really had much trouble with her messing with it, but I always kept it tucked under her shirt. Hope that helps!

dd has been wearing hers day and night since she was 3 mo (she's 10 mo now)... she has shown mild if any teething discomfort. she doesn't drool, doesn't chew on things except for when one is cutting through. i definitely think it works.

i never take it off, she wears it under her clothes and doesn't ever touch it.
