Building a greenhouse with strange old windows

I believe the windows are fine lead-wise. What I'm wondering about is the glass itself. They windows came from a school and have an reflective coating on them. (I think it's a coating) They're made so that students could see OUT but passersby couldn't see IN. Is this ok for the greenhouse? I'd have the windows facing so that you can't see in as I'd find it to creepy the other way.

Not sure about the glass issue--but just to be safe on the lead issue--you can buy a little lead test kit from hardware store--swab it on wood/ paint and it gives instant result by turning color if lead present---

I have one of those little kit things. One of the perks of buying an old house. You end up accumulating odd things.

They might be treated to block UV light, which isn't a huge deal but can slow the growth of some plants. As long as the full spectrum is coming through, it should be fine. You can check this with a prism, if you have one.

Thanks! I did some math and realized we'll need MORE windows so I imagine what we find next will be the normal kind. I guess even if it does block UV rays, they'll be coming in through the other windows so it will even out.
