Bum Genius velcro solution

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but wanted to share what I found. Our 22 month old has been using the BG (pretty exclusively since newborn, but used prefolds at times) so the velcro doesn't hold well anymore. (one of the problems with the one size diapers, since the velcro gets old...)

I had sewed on new velcro on some, but didn't do it on all. I've found the new Snappis can hold the diapers in place, so just use them on the outside of the diaper. (The older Snappis we found to be better for prefolds since they were more flexible, but they don't attach to the BG diaper fabric well. While the new Snappis are less flexible, their 'claws' are sharper, and can hold onto the BG). This has worked out great, and we continue to use our BG....

Cool - thank you for the info!
We mostly use prefolds, and I have a dozen BG AIO's as a back-up, so this will help!

Question for you - does your LO have chunky thighs, and do you have leaks with BG?

Hi-
No, our DD doesn't have very chunky legs. And no issues with BG leaking. I find they can stay on longer since they don't feel so wet on her skin, and have less problems with rashes on her...
