I'm working right now to clean the house up after a parasite flare-up. I am just DONE dealing with these nasties... I really want this to be the final encounter.
Medicating the kids extensively, cleaning from top to bottom, DE for myself(I am almost 6 wks pregnant). I feel very comfortable using pyrantel pamoate to treat the kids... I've tried every natural route in the book and it's just not working for the kids. But it doesn't get the eggs, and right now the eggs are THE enemy. So I am turning to clove oil. In conjunction with the top to bottom cleaning of everything, I am making a vinegar/water/clove oil spray and dousing everything in the kids rooms, the carpet in the house, base boards, furniture, beds, adding it to washloads of blankets, sheet, pillows, dolls. But here is my issue... Most everything I've read says that clove oil is a no-no while pregnant. I feel pretty good about using it the kid's room and on the carpet... Well, I really want to spray the hell out of my bed. I am pretty certain we're all dealing with it... I just want there to be no vectors for reintroduction in my home. My vacuum just doesn't have the juice to do what I think it needs to do in this case. Clove oil is my only affordable option right now. So if I had about 20 drops of clove oil in a quart+ of vinegar water, do you think that would be too strong? Over the entire mattress and boxspring? Would you do it, given the circumstances?

I don't know if anyone has ever tried this route, with the clove oil. But if it seems effective I am going to post the info on the great big parasite thread.
