have you done A Beka K-4? Thoughts?

Just wondering if anyone has done A Beka K-4 and what your thoughts are on it. I read somewhere that they taught cursive right from the beginning but it says on their site that you can order it in cursive or manuscript. I thought I had it all figured out what we were going to do next year but now I am looking at this because I think it might be right where DD needs to be--kind of between pre-K and K. She just turned 4 in February and I know she is not ready for a full year of K, so the K-4 seems perfect. Any thoughts?

Hated it. K in a box labelled for 4 yo. Lots of seatwork & drill. Really pushed reading. And I'll just say it ~ I cannot stand that they outline the coloring pictures with the color they want the kids to color the item. Drives me bonkers. We tried it when dd was 4 as a trial run for hsing. We lasted 2 weeks maybe. I gave up and put her in preK. Years later I built up my confidence. We tried another method and had a great year. Your experience may vary.. I guess I like preK to really be preK.
