A mix. My favorite 'sposies are 7th generation. But a friend gave us 350 earth's best ones that were delivered to her by accident, so we've been using those.
My favorite cloth are all-in-ones and pockets. Been using bumgenius so far, but used my first fuzzibunz today.
I'm one of those who just doesn't feel the pre-fold love. I wasn't feeling the fitted love either, but my friend gave me some thirsties fitted, and I think I like the looks of those more than the kissaluvs that I had. We'll see once I try them on her.

We use cloth during the day and have been using disposables at night because we haven't found the right combination for a dry night in cloth yet!
As for what type of cloth, my favorites are my Muttaqin and Bububebe fitteds with Thirsties covers, but sadly I only have 5 fitteds, and can't afford more right now. So I basically save the fitteds for the ease of out-and-about diaper changes. At home we use unbleached GMD infant prefolds and either Thirsties covers or Bummis Super Whisper Wraps. Cecilia hates having the prefold Snappi'd on, but so far it works way better than trifolded in the cover for Miss Peeful.
edit: Forgot to add, we have 6 one size Fuzzi Bunz pocket diapers, but so far she is just too small for them. They have an elastic system inside to adjust the rise, and making it small enough for my little pits'l makes for a diaper so bulky she can hardly lower her legs!

We have a whole basket of cloth and I used cloth with my son and I have every intention of using cloth with this one too ( a variety of terry, pre-fold, OneLife, Tots Bot and a few others I can't quite remember at the moment - gonna get some Disanas as well)....but at the moment, I am just using disposables (whatever is on offer, sale, have a coupon for) with a bit of EC in between (he has a few regular and predictable poos/pees a day - those go i the potty).

loving the simplicity of prefolds and wool covers. i was gifted some imse vimse wool covers, but haven't used them yet. so far the only ones that fit are the hand-knitted ones. i'm already planning on knitting more of my favorites - picky pants pattern.
have used bamboo doublers a couple of times, now that little guy sometimes gives me 4 hrs at night.
i like prefolds b/c they are easy to wash/dry and so far one size has worked for him from 5 lbs up to 10. i hand wash and lanolize the covers less than once a week. they hang dry.
so glad that wool actually works! i had my doubts, but other than feeling dampness if he's wearing cotton outside the wool, they really do work great. haven't had any poo-splosions that have gotten out of the cover, but twice when holding him close to us on his belly, pee has gone right through - must have been a direct stream or something... twice in 9 weeks ain't bad

Thirsties all-in-ones and Kushies all-in-ones (which i got for practically nothing at a mom-to-mom sale; they aren't too bad, actually) as well as disposables overnight and for outings. I have 14 of the all-in-ones so just about enough for an average day. I want to branch out into prefolds and covers but DH is not enthralled with the idea of my buying any more diapers at present.

we're using a mix of Fuzzi Bunz size 0, swaddlebees (pockets), G-diapers with cloth and disposable liners, Thirsties with covers and Pampers which I have left over from DS 2 years ago
we're on our last two Pampers today though- we went out for the day and I decided that it was time to use them up! Once she is big enough she will be sharing her big brothers bum genius/fuzzi bunz stash-at the moment they are MASSIVE on her

Me too! I couldn't get them to work with my first. Now I just use them as a shield for our trips to the potty for EC or when DS needs some diaper free time. I'll put one underneath him so our floor doesn't get soaked.
For my first, I used Fuzzibunz. I'm now using those with new Grobaby diapers I purchased. I like the Grobaby diapers because there is a snap-in insert, so a cover can be used multiple times. They are also one-size, which makes DS's bum look a bit big now. Also, they don't have polyester in them, just cotton touches the baby's skin.
As for night, I got sick of leaks from cloth so I've had DS in Pampers disposables. He wakes up when diapers get too wet, so the disposables allow him to sleep better at night. And I don't have to wash the sheets so often.

we use sposies. With DD1 my parents started buying them when I told them I was pregnant, they basically bought us the 1st 1.5 years of diapers for DD1 and she was potty trained by 26 months. With DD2 we've only bought 1 pack so far, all the rest have been given to us and we've got at least another month or two in the closet. Right now we're using pampers but will switch to 7th generation when we are buying them ourselves.
Cloth kind of appeals to me and lots of my friends use CDs, but all I ever hear of are the problems they have with them - one friend had to replace all the elastic on her fuzzibunz after a year and her son is almost 3 now and still in diapers and I haven't seen him in a CD in a long, long time so I'm guessing the fix didn't work well. And for all the friends that use CDs I rarely see them on their kids when they are out and about and we are out somewhere everyday frequently all day. It just doesn't seem worth the hassle for our family. Plus the idea of poop in the washer totally grosses DH out. I doubt I could get him to change a dirty CD.

Cloth all the way over here! DD2 has not worn a disposable since around five days old. We are a prefolds/prefitteds/fitteds/flats family. Just the basics, thank you. I have tried a few fancier diapers and have found that nothing can compare to the wonder of good old fashioned cotton. We have a mix of PUL and wool covers. During the day, DD1 wears a Snappi'd flat under Aristocrats wool or a Bummis Super Whisper Pant (pull-up cover) & dd2 wears a prefold trifolded under a Bummis cover (wrap style). At night, dd1 wears a Snappi'd prefitted under Aristocrats wool & dd2 wears either a BumGenius bamboo fitted or an Under the Nile organic cotton fitted under Aristocrats wool. We have never ever ever had a leak while using Aristocrats, they are that good. We also full-time EC & dd2 is starting to hold her poops, so we are not dealing w/ many poo diapers, either.

We've been trying to do half and half for now - disposables at night for "wicking" and for any time I think she might take a good looong nap. And for going out of the house. So, yeah, we end up doing those a lot. But we do CD for most of the day, and are using prefolds with Thirsties covers for the most part. I have a few Fuzzibuns/ Bumgenius pocket diapers but I'm starting to feel that they're silly, since you just have to wash the whole dang thing anyway (whereas with the covers I tend to reuse them a few times, unless they're gross). Am I missing something there?
We got a lot of disposables given to us - so many that now we have too many newborn which she just outgrew! - and last night I had to go to the store at 11pm to buy diapers, and they only had Pampers in size 1.
Cloth still seems like it is so big on her that it pushes her hips and abdomen a little awkwardly, I'm hoping we'll all like it more as she grows and we acclimate. Several of the covers and pocket dipes are "1 size" which ends up being pretty ridiculously huge on a 10 pound girl!
Question: I only change her at night once she fully wakes up in the morning. During her 2/3am feeding, she hardly ever poops, maybe has some pee but doesn't even open her eyes during the feed, then passes back out. It's really hard for me to even get her to burp during that time because she stays so asleep... and if I ever try to change her diaper before she's really really awake, no matter how gross it is, it really seems to alarm her and wake her up in an upsetting way.
So - sometimes I don't change even a poopy diaper for 3-4 hours! Only at night, and only if she's asleep, it's not leaking, etc. She doesn't seem to care, and I'm keeping an eye out for diaper rash. But, is this a bad parent move? Should CPS be notified?

We use cloth!
I tried the fancier diapers with DD1 but discovered nothing was as reliable as prefolds and simple fitted diapers. (I think the more expensive AIO and pocket diapers are what you hear friends complaining about!)
We use regular and premium prefolds, though the premium ones have to be folded down a lot. I don't usually put a cover on her when we're around the house because we're doing EC and otherwise I change her every time she pees. Lately she has been peeing SO much, it's unbelievable! She will seriously pee and soak a prefold every 15 minutes. I miss a lot of those pees, it's exhausting to try to catch them all until she's holding it in longer. I do set her on the infant potty after naps and when I see her squirming and looking like she has to go. Some days we catch a lot more than others. She really likes the pink baby bjorn potty and is now big (fat!) enough to sit on it as long as I hold her with one hand.
Over night she is usually dry and she wakes to pee and poop in the little potty, I keep it next to the bed. The only problem we run into is if the potty is cold, lol. Sometimes in that case I have to get up and hold her over the sink for her to calm down and go. She likes to see herself in the mirror.
She sleeps in a prefold with no cover or with a wool cover if it's not too hot in here. We're doing really well with night time EC. For some reason she will not go in her diaper at night. I remember how hard it was to find something absorbent enough for DD1 overnight. Dry diapers at night is a pleasant surprise and bonus of EC.
I'm curious as to why people think it's harder to use cloth when out of the house? It doesn't seem any more difficult to me at all. I slap a diaper on her, toss the dirty one in our little zippered wetbag, and that's it. If I was using a disposable diaper I'd have to find somewhere to throw it away or bag it up and carry it home to throw away, not much different than cloth.

We have had reactions to any pul touching her skin. So we use prefolds with gDiaper covers during the day and a snappi contour with wool at night. I have a bg organic aio that I like. The way its sewn, only cotton touches her. I want to invest in more of those and crochet some more wool covers.
