I still feel painful down there. I can still feel a big gaping area where my tear was. Is it always going to be like that? I'm getting a bit worried about some prolapse issues, too. Like, it just feels wrong down there. When I use the bathroom it feels funny...sort of the same feeling as if a tampon/diva cup is sitting too low. Ugh. The NP I saw for my 6 week pp visit didn't say anything except that I had some tissue that needed to be removed, so she removed it with silver nitrate.
Also, I had stopped bleeding, but since I had the Mirena put in I've been bleeding red again. Not a lot, but enough that I've needed a couple of super-thin panty liners every day. It's really really dark red blood, almost black looking. I hope it stops eventually.
Someday I'd like to DTD again. And DH would like to have DTD again, like, a month ago.

I'm in the same boat, almost exactly. I'm 5 1/2 weeks PP and there's still obvious stitches, a gaping area at the bottom and it's starting stinging again when I pee. It stopped stinging at about 3 weeks, then the past 1 1/2 weeks, it's been stinging again, this time where the stitches are. I've been fighting mastitis and thrush though, so it may be some external yeast or something... I don't know.
I saw a MW at 2 weeks pp and asked about the gaping bit. She said that it's "cosmetic" and that the part that isn't healing together will come together "eventually." I'd like to DTD again someday too... actually, I would have liked to a month ago, but next week would be nice, too. As it is, I'm petrified to touch, muchless think about putting anything in there. I had my husband look (amateur gynecologist that he is...

) and he's like, "Oh, boy. Not gonna happen for awhile, babe. I'm not going to be the cause of MORE pain to you down there. Let's take it easy for another month or two."

Bless him for being patient, but really... why won't this HEAL?! We'll see what the MW says at my appt next week.
