I dunno what is going on.

We started EC with our DD at 3 weeks, she is now 5.5 months. She does well with letting us know when she has to go.We're still holding her over the sink in a squatting position because she's not stable sitting yet.We have one of those itty bitty potties for her and she's peed on it a few times. For the past week or so, she "tells" us she has to go and then when we get in the bathroom she freaks out, arching her back and crying, sometimes she waits till after she pees to get upset. She's hardly pooed this week and it's green, which has got me worried. We went through a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance when she was from 4 weeks till 7 weeks. She flails herself about so much I've been afraid I'd drop her. I tried helping her sit on her potty this morning and she was interested in the fairly new experience but when we scooted over by the sink she went ballistic. I thought I'd give her a break, but she still knows she has to go and still detests doing it in a diaper. HELP!?! I don't want my sweet little one to be miserable, and I don't want to be frustrated. This is wearing me down.

Good to hear your following your insticts, safety 1st. I would follow her lead and go back to pottying another day. Just keep offering, and maybe try different methods, if you need to. This EC forum is full of links and new ideas. We have a 9 week old. I hold him on my lap, as I sit backwards on the toilet. He didn't feel at ease in my arms when we tried pottying over the sink. For us, that feels more natural.
Best wishes.

Maybe that position is hurting due to the possible constipation. I would keep trying different places and positions. Good luck!

green poo can also mean yeast in her belly. some powdered probiotics on your finger a few times a day might help give her a better balance of good bacteria in her belly.

is she getting ready to crawl? or teething? big developmental milestones often disrupt the EC process.

also, try different locations for the potty, and offering toys or books while she's on the potty to get her to relax long enough to go.
