So we're finally going to make the switch as well---we have a diaper champ already. I could just put a cloth bag in it and use that, right?

At the moment we are filling about one and a half buckets a day using terry squares and some covers with inserts.
Please be very careful with the eucalyptus, i used some with one of my older children when she was little and it burned her skin, never again

We just use a PUL zippered bag on the floor near where I change him most often. I use nothing for the smell, but don't find I really have an unless it's been several days since I washed, and I solve that by just washing them. I normally wash every 2-3 days, and have no stink if I keep to that schedule. To be fair, there is a usually a bit of a smell when I unzip to put the diaper in, but it doesn't linger once the bag is re-closed. (I wash the PUL bag with the diapers a least once a week, sometimes more if it's dirty and/or stinky.)

This is what we do. I didn't always wash the liner when we did diapers daily, but now we go longer between washes so it almost always goes in the wash.

I just have a standard kitchen trash can w/ lid beside the toilet. We use bg - mostly 3.0s with a handful of old 2.0s for ds1 at night thrown in. Pull out liners, sticky the tabs down, and drop both parts in the pail. Wash every 3-4 days.... now that ds2 is getting into solids the poopies get rinsed off into the toilet, then dropped in.
