So I had my hair tested. First sample was taken in August, 2nd in March. Here are the differences, with some being substantial....

Most of the essential elements look pretty similar, it's a few of the potentially toxics that have changed. What have you done, in terms of supplements, in this timeframe? Am I remembering wrong that you were B12 deficient at some point?

ive been supping with b12 due to a deficiency. since this test, ive added b complex, daily multi both from New chapter, and a rainbow light calcium/mag supp.

the essentials are different in that my iron, rubidum, and germanium are all in normal ranges now where the 1st test they were all in the yellow.

the thing that disturbs me is the aluminum and tin. in the 1st test, it was in the green and now alum is in the deep yellow, tin in the red. uranium in the red is what i had last time, though it seems to have come down. i have to figure out why this is the case in such a short amount of time.

dr walsh (a very reknown nutritional HCP out of australia) recommends direct labs, but says aluminum is rarely accurate due to so much external exposure. tin, not so sure. i do know ive been showering in a shower with old pipes. again, i gotta figure out what could be causing this big jump in those to toxic elements.

I don't know enough about how aluminum specifically is mobilized, but several metals are excreted via methylation, and my guess would be that the supplemental B12 is mobilizing metals, because you were starting out quite low in B12, but this would be a good thing. Tin and arsenic are excreted via methylation, and both are a bit higher.

i hope these are good things. i am sufficiently concerned about the aluminum due to the fact that its high neurotoxic.

arsenic also might be due to the rice milk i consumed too and the soil. though i eat organic produce, who knows what the soil was treated with prior to becoming organic approved.

uranium is consistent with the last test, and i do live in CA where its plentiful. i do use a RO water system so that should minimize it and it creeped down SLIGHTLY from last time, but its still as DH said "off the charts practically."

i will retest but i would love to know if anyone else has gotten such varied results. i also read that the elements im high in save for U can be easily contamination from even the scissors used. i just am kind of confused though not totally freaking out.
