Do you think it's best to wait at least one cycle after a m/c?

Do you think it's best to wait at least one cycle (having one normal period) after you miscarry before you TTC again?

Would it matter if you miscarried later vs. earlier?

DH and I are trying to figure out if we should TTC immediately or wait one cycle.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to see that you had another m/c I voted not to wait because I recently read that statistically, pregnancies right after a miscarriage are not at any greater risk of problems than would be one that occurred later. I read that in a book titled "After Miscarriage." It's great book. Doctors have traditionally told women to wait 3 months or longer, but that was often because they expected the woman to take time for emotional healing. I will be interested to see what other mama's think about this one.

Nope. My 3rd son was conceived immediately after a m/c, before I got my first after m/c af. My doc told me it would be fine, that your body wouldn't ovulate if it wasn't ready to go through with it. I started to m/c at about 7wks and the bleeding didn't stop till around 10wks or so completely. Three weeks later I got a bfp

TTCing naturally after a miscarriage is not problematic at all. It s only if you are doing fertility treatments that you should wait since the pregnancy followed by fertility meds can really mess up your body. If there are no drugs involved, go for it.
