Mae, thanks for the positive thoughts! I'm really really hoping that I get to be one of those hope-inspiring success stories, too.
FIVE O'CLOCK?!?!?!?!?! uuuuuggggghhh!!! <throwing head back, a la toddler pre-temper tantrum>

Hopefully, it's BY 5, so before 5.

my movie suggestions to distract you tomorrow: Black Sheep and Tommy Boy, perhaps a good Julia Roberts movie as long as there is no baby action involved.

I miss obsessing a little, honestly! i was still obsessing about little stuff in the first few months here, and my MW had to tell me to stop!

Cant wait to add you to the list tomorrow !!!!!!!!!

... a bigger update from me later. Sorry for being absent; I have been reading, though!

I think Mae turned vertex during the course of the day yesterday. Last night I could no longer feel her head or butt on my sides but when poking around could feel her body facing up/down

and by how I am getting kicks it feels like it is butt-up head-down!

Congratulations Lisko & Pinoikoi!! I hadn't checked in lately, so the congratulations are a bit tardy, but I'm very excited for both of you! I hope you're enjoying this fresh new bonding time.

Elliott is growing well. He had his 1-month pediatrician visit last week. Everything but his hearing looks good (and we're still not sure about that--seeing an audiologist soon). He had his first vaccination & weighed in at 10lbs 14oz. Last night he slept for 6 & 1/2 hours straight. He still wants to be held and to nurse constantly when he's awake, so I'm working on accommodating him in that. He's also just starting to make social half-smiles. It's really sweet to see.

Mae - yay for vertex, head-down babies! Wonder if she'll stay that way, though. You've got a bit to go, yet.

starkyld - glad you checked in! Good to hear that Elliot is doing well. I'm not sure I remember you mentioning hearing stuff... what's up with that? I hope all is okay.

jillc512 - OMG that sling! It is AWESOME! I may have to copy you.

jessica_s - yay 10 weeks!!! Let us know your family's reaction!!! Such great news.

Others - I know I"m missing a bunch, but I'm just too darn lazy to go to the second page and double-check. I'll try better to keep up! This thread has been moving FAST lately!

AFM - A few things to share...

My SPD has reached monumentally bad proportions. Waiting for a call back from the midwife to see what I should do next to try to alleviate some of the debilitating pain. I'm afraid if it gets much worse, I may have to stay off my feet entirely. It honestly feels like I'm going to break in half sometimes. I've been wearing a maternity support belt, and it helps to have some of the weight of the babe off my pelvis so as not to cause additional pain... but it does nothing to alleviate the pain of the SPD itself. Sigh. Best ever was being in a pool for the last couple of days, for about an hour at a time. First time I have not felt pain in a few weeks. I may be trying to spend more time in the neighbor's pool.

And, there's the Great Name Debate. Poor baby girl has a new name. This time we're not sharing with ANYONE IRL, because we are tired of everyone's opinions! Lol. DP decided a couple of weeks ago that she really didn't like Maisie as a nickname anymore, and that was a big selling point for me on Jamison. SOOOOO, the new name is Cadence, nn Cady (pronounced like Katie). One of DP's nns is Katie, and it would be kind of fun to have a "big Kate" and "little Cady" in the house. Middle name James after DP's dad. Cady James. CJ. It's got some Irish roots, which is important to us, and we're both really musical, so we like that it's a musical term. And, it's unique without being totally out there. We will see if it sticks through till the birthday. I'm not holding my breath anymore. Lol. Sheesh, it's HARD naming someone!

Finally, since tomorrow is the beginning of my third trimester (!!!) I put together a collage of my first and second trimester growth! Very interested to see how much bigger I actually get. Lol.

first, noooo she went back to transverse today BUT I am taking her moving in the first place as a sign that she is running out of room transverse.

Second... have you tried a chiropractor? Mine worked WONDERS for me. I could hardly move at all before I went to him, he did the webster technique on me and I walked out feeling way better than I did before I went in!

Also... what belt are you using?

Hi Ladies - Thanks for all the congrats!

Not really much time to post (no surprise there). Caleb is sleeping, but then I feel guilty to be spending free-time on the computer and not with DD (while she's watching an episode of iCarly for the 16th time...)

First off, Tear, oh lady, that just sucks. It sucks so much and it is so, so, so unfair. I could kick something for you. I want you over here so badly... Thinking of you and hoping you have some fun stuff planned for summer vacation.

Caleb would like to do this sometimes too, especially after like 11 p.m. Last night he would have been happy to nurse from 12:30 a.m. until 4:00 a.m. Not really reasonable and yowch to the nipples. During the day he's still pretty sleepy and will sleep when not being held, but I think we are having some daytime/nighttime mixup issues. How you solve that with a six-day-old is beyond me! I'm thinking we should just go with the flow...

Here are two pics:

First half hour

Five-days-old

I'm hearing some baby grunts from the other room. Bye for now!

Mae - I am using this belt. Like I said, I can tell the difference when I have it on, because I don't have "additional" pain from her weight... but it doesn't take the "at the root of the SPD" pain away. There was another one on Amazon I wanted to try, but I couldn't wait any longer to get it last week.

And, whenever my midwife decides it's convenient to return my call (scowl) I am going to ask her about a chiropractor referral. I've never been to one before, but I'm willing to try ANYTHING at this point.

lisko15 - He is just perfect! Thanks for sharing pics. I hope you get the day/night thing sorted out soon.

The chiro will help a TON

and that second belt you linked is the one I have and it is awesome for keeping me in place after the chiro adjustment!

AFM - applied for the loan. a 5 year personal loan that we fully expect to be paid off before the end of THIS year. Waiting to hear if we get it. Really really hoping we get it so we do not have to stress about how we will be paying our midwife!

ETA - she just turned back vertex again... I really think shes running out of room transverse... my tummy is mostly all out in front this time so I imagine that way must be crowded!

We got our loan!

They have it as a 48 month loan but as I said, it wont take us anywhere NEAR a YEAR to pay it off. So I will be paying midwife in full on Monday, I am sure she will appreciate that!

I am just glad that I have more than 75 dollars to feed us for the next two weeks and maybe now we can actually afford to take DD out for chuck e. cheeses or to see toy story for her birthday like she had wanted to do last weekend.

(I am cracking up so hard right now, apparently my DS needs a belt with the shorts he is wearing right now because his overly smart just-turned-5 year old sister is yelling "You're a plumber!" at him)

Thanks, lovelies! We rather like it, too. It's hard to say, but we think it feels more "right" than the other two the more we think on it.

Mae - good news about the loan! Sounds like a bit of a weight has been lifted for you. Glad to hear it!

AFM - off to the midwife for an "emergency" appointment to address this SPD issue. Will be seeing her at 12:45; we'll see what she says. I really hope she doesn't blow it off. I can't imagine living the next 3 months like this. I want to go back to enjoying my pregnancy, dammit!

Oh, and it's happy 3rd trimester day to me!

Its okay they finally worked it through and his agent said she CAN put my car on his policy (she was saying she couldnt because my car is titled/registered in a different state than his... and both are titled/registered in different states than what we live in... but eventually she found out she can)

As for Cadence - its a cute name for you guys. We could never do it... its an overused and very cheesy name with military families LOL but for anyone else its a great name!
