Which baby would you rather have ... - Page 2

DS is somewhere in between. Leans toward camp A- "easy", quiet, happy-go-lucky, plays by himself for small stretches at a time, sits nicely at a restaurant, etc.

But at home he he is a true mama's boy. He needs me to be around, checks in, gets upset if I'm really distracted with other things. Needs cuddling though out the day. Can def get whiny and fussy and cranky pants!

However if you only saw us at playgroup, playdates, activities, etc., you would think he's a perfect "type A" all the time. But it's just an illusion!

Mine were somewhere inbetween. But given the choice? I would totally prefer Baby A.

My current baby is a little of both throughout the day. Some parts of the day she is very demanding of my attention and other parts she will sit a play happily on the floor with toys. I think it is the best of both worlds. When she is playing on the floor I will peek over at her and call her name. She sometimes just looks up at me smiles and then goes back to what she is doing. Other times she will start to fuss when she sees me and that is my cue that she has had enough alone time and would like to be picked up.

i was going to say this! my babe isn't totally destructive and can play by herself for stretches at home but is also getting very good at baby-tantrums and i feel like i am constantly chasing her and entertaining her.

but at playgroup she's an angel, entertains herself the whole time, 2 hours never looking back for me. i always think how i could totally get away with dropping her off and coming back for her to pick her up when it was done and no one would be the wiser. she's at her best when there's alot going on and alot of other people to give her attention

i have a baby A. i love it. she loves to interact, but doesn't DEMAND to interact, if you know what i mean. i think it's great. i'm a very social person, so i usually initiate the interaction, but my DH is much more quiet and reserved... i'm sure it's his personality that she has. but they can both be very funny and cuddly, it's just not a constant need. i know that i might end up with a baby B down the road, but it was a very relaxing and fluid transition into parenthood to have such an "easy" baby the first time around.

I can't imagine a baby A! That would be nice.

I have baby Cs, both of 'em: Smart, active, extremely curious, adorable, VERY temperamental, need constant contact and they don't sleep worth a dang. Really, even my 3.5 y.o. wakes up multiple times a night still.

I was promised if #1 is high need, #2 won't be. Not true. Not true at all.

Both of my kids have been baby A. They are both relaxed, out-going and will play alone for long periods of time (without being too destructive). We plan on having more kids, so I'm pretty darn sure that I'm in for it!

Wow, that is dd exactly! It's crazy, when we're out in public we get compliments on how "she just sits there quietly" and "she's so good, she just looks around, doesn't make a peep"...but at home, try to put her down and she just doesn't want any part of it.

My ds was baby A as a baby baby, but when he became mobile (walking well at 10 months) it was a different story, and still is!
