gum recession due to breastfeeding?

My gums have started to recede suddenly and severely, bleeding with brushing and sensitive, since my second child was born in January. I know there is a good thread here on dealing with this, so I am looking at some approaches that might work for me on this front, but the drastic change is just weird.

Anyone else notice a HUGE change in oral health after the birth of baby? We cosleep and exclusively breastfeed, but everything is normal in that department.
