I am new to homeschooling. My daughter is 4 and I have 2 yo twins. I'm very interested in being a part of a homeschool co-op. What sorts of questions should I ask? The little that I do know about the co-op is that the children vary in age, but most are pre-school and elementary and it is not faith based.

What is the cost of the co-op? What services do they provide? Do they provide specific classes that you need to sign up for in advance? Are you required to volunteer? What will you do with your younger children while you are volunteering?
But in general, it's probably best to attend once and get a feel for the co-op and see how it works before you sign up.
That said, I did once sign up (and pay for) for a co-op without checking it out first. I liked what their website said, and I talked to one of the co-op leaders, and it all sounded great. It was a great co-op, and we attended for several years.
