We have a chipmunk problem in my yard. I don't want to tell the maintenance man because they'd probably just use harsh chemicals to kill them.
Typically, I don't like to hurt animals. But, these things have outstayed their welcome. They are loud and annoying. They are living underneath the siding of the house. They are tearing up the lawn.
I'm so sick of them waking us up at 4am every darn morning! They sit on the steps and under our windows and squeaky chirp away (not pretty like a bird.)
I've read about a trap that ends up drowning the chipmunk. It sounds awful...but I've been reading that it seems to be the only thing that works.
I want to avoid toxic chemicals at all cost.
Any ideas? Oh, and I can't afford an exterminator (I rent), even if it's a humane one.
