Outdoor Kitchen

Thread Starter
I would like to make a bit of an outdoor kitchen for cooking in the hot weather. My plan is to get a double burner hot plate and use it and my toaster oven outside. I also have a small charcoal BBQ but want to get something bigger and better for baking bread etc.

Do you have an outdoor kitchen? What would yours look like if you did? What kind of oven would you use? I like pictures.

TIA,
April

I'm still interested in more ideas!

I'm so glad you started this. We just bought a house and are trying to figure out this same thing. We were thinking of getting a propane burner from Loews, besides a solar cooker I don't know what else to put out there. the back porch (where we'd have it) isn't covered, so the equipement has to be portable.

I dream of building a cob oven for pizzas and bread. Who knows when I'll get around to it but I think it would be pretty handy to have!

We're about to start building soon and I hope to have a summer/outdoor kitchen then. I plan to put one on the back porch just outside the kitchen. We have a large bbq grill that will be out there and I want to put in an all in one outdoor oven/stove/grill/smoker and a kitchen sink. This is where we'll do a lot of our summer cooking plus canning. I want cabinets to be able to store my canning supplies, cast iron, and a few other items like the grain mill and meat grinder. I want to put a picnic table out there too for dining outside.

Here's a link that shows how to build the all in one oven/stove/grill/smoker I want:

Some houses around where I live have awesome outside kitchens. I would love that! We just use the grill (propane) and have a large utility type wooden table and a picnic table to sit at. Speaking of, if you buy the kits at the hardware store, you can get a picnic table for really cheap - then put it together, sand, and stain it. We need to re-do ours this year.
