penelope~Thanks for the ego boost.
nemesis~I would love to just say no, except I wasn't asked. In his defense, I also haven't heard any whispers about (as plady says) the rodent needing to come to our house when XH is out of town. We shall see, I guess.
plady~You really should come to Colorado for BB next year! Memorial Day weekend! Of course, with my luck, I'll have a clinical and won't be able to run it, but I think odds are pretty good that I won't.
mandy~I like the "not thinking, just running" list idea!
bec~Aw, that sucks. Poor thing.
Yet another crazy day mostly in the books. DS had his 4 year check-up at the ped, where we learned that he's stayed around the same percentile for weight and jumped up about 10 percentiles for height...shocker!
I love my ped...he brought up splitting the 4 vax that DS was due for without me breathing a word about it, and we're actually going to split even further b/c one of the two he'll get next year instead of all today is one that he had a reaction to last time. I can't believe my kid did not even FLINCH when he got the shots. No tears, no "ow", nothing. Amazing!
Then it was off to meet a friend for a quick run. My legs are definitely more recovered today...we ran 30 sec/mile faster than my run last night, and that was with the stroller! And it didn't feel as hard, either! Back home for a shower, then off to the CPA to get the taxes done (yes, I know it's June, shut up
). Costco and grocery store on the way home and now some decompression time on the couch. I really need to do some blog posts tonight, but I'm also exhausted, so we'll see how far that gets. I MUST go to bed at a reasonable time tonight (i.e. before 11).
Oh, I almost forgot...I won a free pair of Brooks shoes yesterday!!! How cool is that?! I just happened to be online when they posted a contest on FB/Twitter that the first 5 people to correctly answer some questions that you could find on their website would win. And I did! So, I was debating just getting my next pair of Adrenalines, but I think I may try a pair of racing shoes. Not like I'm fast enough for the lighter weight to really make a difference, but maybe the mental advantage will be significant?
So now I'm trying to decide if the Launch or the Racer ST is better for someone who normally wears a stability shoe...
