Thought I'd get the party started for June!

well we said we would let her pick, but she keeps saying "red AND blue" which i think will be hideous, so we are trying to convince her to go with one or the other. we got a bazillion sample cards and it's going to take us a while to decide, i think. i just don't want the room to look like a big american flag, you know?

we got her a rainbow striped quilt and green curtains that make the whole room look green when the light shines through. her big girl mattress will be delivered this coming saturday. fingers crossed that she sleeps ALL night in her room!

What time do you meet? I'm hoping to make it tomorrow for the first time. I'll be the bedraggled looking one with Clara, my very shy 2.5 yr old and my 6 wk old Zoë! I'm hoping we manage to walk there, but we'll see how mommy feels tomorrow morning!

Can't wait to meet you all!

usually the early-folks start getting there around 9 or 9:30 and then people sort of trickle in after that. i myself have a hard time leaving the house before 10am, so we'll probably be there around 10:15-30ish. i will have a red and white checked picnic blanket and a redhaired 2.5 year old daughter (and a 14-weeks-pregnant belly ) sometimes there are other moms with blankets, but we seem to have the MOST blankets all together, usually. looking forward to meeting you kim!!

I think we're going to head to the Y to go swimming first, so we'll probably be there between 11:30 and noon today.

Shalonne, I'll need to get your check for the Frontier order so I can place it this week. I'll bring the catalog so anyone else who wants to look through it, can.

we were planning on coming today, but Dylan is resting now after screaming & crying about earache. heading to doctor at noon instead of park. have fun everyone!

If anyone is still online, can you post how to get to the park? Google is giving me lots of other parks in Providence but no Humboldt.

I don't think it's officially called Humboldt Park... some people call it Frog Park... among other names.
Anyway, if you google humboldt ave in Providence, you'll find it. It looks like its official name is Gladys Potter Park. If you turn on to humboldt off of Wayland, the road sort of curves around and the park is in the curve.

it's between the intersections of humboldt and wayland and humboldt and elton. google maps has it labeled as Gladys Potter Park, i've never noticed that before!
we might have to change out playgroup name to the gladys group.

Isaac's not feeling too great but since it looks like a lot of late goers maybe we'll try and come over. It's 11:30 now so I don't have high hopes.

We'll likely head to Humboldt tomorrow morning around 11-ish if anyone feels like meeting for lunch in the park.
