it is possible to wear an ergo while pregnant?

hi

i am 7 months pregnant and we dont use a stroller for my 14 month old. USUALLY he is perfectly fine walking around the stores. when he does want to be carried, my dh and i can switch off, but what do i do when i am shopping (grocery store/target/ect) and i HAVE to push a cart and he wants to be held? he wont sit in the cart, which is probably my fault, since we always "walked" him and never really made him sit in the cart.

i want an ergo for this next baby but if i buy it now, can i use it? would it be dangerous to baby #2 somehow? my belly is pretty .... prominant lol

thanks

You could definitely do a back carry by wearing it lower on your hips so the waist belt was under your belly. I use a SSC regularly, but I am only 5 months pregnant, so I can still wear on the front if I really want since baby is low and my belly is still pretty squishy! The only question would be if your toddler would mind the lack of view. Do you use any other carriers or would this be your first? Whether your toddler will be content on your back if they are not already used to being worn depends on their personality. Good luck!!!

we used a sling here and there, but not lately. its really my fault he doesnt sit in the cart/stroller cuz i just couldnt stand having him separated from me, looking bored and un-stimulated. for some reason we never invested in a good baby carrier, and now i NEED one.

thanks!
