How to save rhubarb for jam later on

Thread Starter
I have a bunch of rhubarb that I got from a friend and would like to make strawberry rhubarb jam. However, the local strawberries are not available yet. I don't think they'll be ready for another month. Is there any way to save the rhubarb so that I can make jam later on? Could I cook it and freeze it?

I think cooking and freezing the rhubarb would work really well.

I just chop it and freeze it.
