DS's first day on his homeopathic remedy and I might have antidoted him already.

So I've been reading that giant homeopathic support thread and been really enjoying it. DS had an appointment w/ a homeopath on the 19th (for his eczema). I gave him the assigned remedy this morning (he was on antibiotics and the homeopath wanted him to be off of them for a few days before giving him the remedy). At the appointment, I asked about antidoting since I'd seen it mentioned in this thread. She talked briefly about coffee and mint.

So anyway, I gave DS his remedy this morning, a few pellets straight into his mouth. No problems. Then sometime in the early afternoon, I wanted some ice cream. We have three different kinds of ice cream in the freezer, a dark cherry one, a pecan praline one, and a mint one. And which one did I pick? The mint one, of course (one of the ingredients is mint extract). I totally wasn't even thinking about it and didn't realize what I'd done until a few hours later. I emailed my CH and let her know what happened and all she said was that hopefully it would be OK.

Gah I feel like such an airhead.

Hi there. I posted this to you already, but I really don't believe that homeopathics are that fragile when they're the right fit. If you had rubbed peppermint oil into his skin or used it in a bath I may have a different response. But not in ice cream Don't feel like an airhead! Those "rules" were from a very different time-one in which people didn't bathe and they used very potent perfumes to cover up the smells. It's not really meant to apply to bath products or foods IMO.

Thank you for your reply.

He seems extra fussy today. I think I'm going to start writing down any "changes" that he has (like in eating, sleeping, mood, appearance, etc.) b/c that would probably be helpful for our follow-up appointment, right?

it may. Be sure to enlist others that have regular interaction with your little one. They may notice things you don't. Also as hard as it is, notice all the consistent changes, even if they weren't originally things you discussed with your practitioner.
