I don't start temping until after I've gotten my first PP bleed. Before then I don't even pay attention to my CF. Risky, I know, but I have always had a few anov bleeds before I start Oing. There's also the fact that my dh hasn't been around much during the times my cycles have started to come back so I really haven't had to worry about anything.

9 day LP?! That means since I started charting I've had
4 11 day LPs
1 12 day LP
3 13 day LPs
1 14 day LP
and a 9 day LP?

Is this normal?

yeah, the 14 and the 9 day LP are weird. 11, 12, and 13 are all within the normal range of varying 2 days in one direction. (plus you have had the most of those).

Random - I wonder if being sick had anything to do with it?

No, that's not normal. Most likely, some of your O days are off. Obviously, this last cycle could've been one of them.

You can't definitively confirm O with just CF but you can tell when you are potentially fertile.

So the Doering rule probably wouldn't help me at this point (!!!!!) but I will keep it in mind for next time. The DH is DEFINITELY done at 2, so there is still conversation about if we'll continue to CTA after #2, or if he will get the Big V. It wouldn't bother me so much if either of us was willing to use condoms for my fertile period, but I get a little frustrated with w/d. I don't know; we'll have to talk about it. First, we should focus on getting preggers, and going from there.

Good luck BFS. I wouldn't even know how to switch from avoid to ok, or at least stop thinking about it.

I have a spotting question, if some one has a copy of TCOYF can look for me? I'm still waiting for O. Misplaced therm yesterday so no temp today. Anyhow about 1.5 wks ago I had 2 days of spotting along with ew. Off and on spotting of ew fluid for the most part until the other day, where I had a lot again. Then today when I checked, I have spotting again with the ewcf. So what's up? And no bd, so those 3 spot days aren't from that. If this current spotting is from O, then what was the spotting last week?

Hi everyone! It's amazing that it is June already. I am joining the bandwagon of not avoiding anymore after this cycle! So Kcroto, echospiritwarrior, BFS... I'm following you guys, and really excited!! I may hang around here lurking for a little bit, because I am still enjoying the charting advice.

I have been on vacation for a few days so missing some temps. But I was pretty comfortable with having confirmed ovulation right before we left.

Ovulation pain?

Could I have felt ovulation "pain". I was just looking back on my chart and noticed on the day FF has me down for O'ing I put down I had some pain on my right side in the morning. Just wondering if that could have been me ovulating?

Also, as far as waking up to a cold room if my temp is not far off from what I have been having... do I not worry about the temp? That was today, cycle day 25.

I bought a new thermometer today. This morning my temp was 35.9 and when I went to double check it later, the low battery symbol appeared. Do digital thermometers get less reliable when the batteries are dying? My temps have been all over the place. Also, is there a difference between a basal thermometer and a regular one? My old one is a basal, but I couldn't find one today.

This is my second month CTA. So far AF is still visiting but I guess I'll start taking temps again tomorrow. The first charted cycle was very normal, like I said in the other thread it was very textbook but I didn't think I have 32 day cycles. I always thought I was right on 28 days. Anyway.

So far, everybody I talked to told me "DO NOT DO IT" but nobody listens to me that you have to take temp AND check your fluid (and cervix if you want to), all they hear is "I'm taking my temp". Anyhoo, my husband was mad first when I decided to go all natural but now he's better since the pill completely killed my libido. At least he's getting some action now .

Doriansmummy: There's really no reason to worry about a temp for any reason in the middle of your LP.

Yes you can feel it..at least I do. It gets so bad sometimes that I just sit on the couch. Every oh so little vibration like walking or moving just hurts so deep in my body that it makes me wanna cry. My belly gets all big and I look like I'm pumped up with gas. I showed DH the other day and he pet my belly for me lol. I can't pinpoint the pain to a certain side of my body, it's just all over and usually in the evenings.

Well, I had stronger sign of fertile CM today. It was a bit stretchy and clearn but not EWCM. I have had it twice this week but this time, it seemed more. I still don't think I'm really starting to cycle yet. I remember having the real slippery feeling at about 5 months postpartum with Carter and started cycling at 11 months. I don't have that yet and hope it stays away for a while yet. Temps are doing the yo-yo effect at the moment so I think it will be a little while.

I have been using the calendar to remind myself about things in the TCOYF software and figured out how to upload my charts so here it is so far.

Super congrats to those graduating on to TTC. Enjoy this time. I know I really enjoyed my last pregnancy so much knowing it would likely be our last little one. We are enjoying him so much now.

My DH was worried when I took out my IUD, but he's definitely happier now that my libido is back, as well!

Sure! I feel it every month. Sometimes I feel it gearing up for a day or so, it's like a short burst of pain, but then once it is constant for a day or so, I know it's happening or did happen. I make sure I mark it in my notes b/c FF might be a day off or something, and thats important.

9dpo here, temps are good. CM is dry or sticky, whichever -- and I'm READY for AF to get here so my mood can get back to a little more normal. I'm so OVER this cycle!!

jodi ~ If you are exclusively breastfeeding, you don't need to chart. You can rely on LAM.

dorian ~ What Shannon said. Once you get the 3 consecutive high temps of your thermal shift, you don't need to temp at all during your lp so you definitely don't need to worry about one temp during your lp.

Here's my . I stopped temping once I got 4 temps in my thermal shift. TCOYF says you can stop after only 3 but I got tricked once so now I wait for 4.

Teresa ~ Yes and yes, again. BTW, you should get at least 3 ovulatory cycles charted before you start to rely on FAM for avoiding. Until then, your friends are correct. Don't do it without protection.

Mummoth, yes therms can start to give unreliable temps as the batteries die. Also, you should use a BBT rather than a fever therm for charting purposes.

Congrats to all the ladies graduating. I must say, it makes me feel like this though DH and I had a talk the other night and I don't foresee that we will ever TTC. In fact, without Divine Intervention, I don't foresee that I will ever have a child. I just feel broken by this whole process.

I also send my congratulations to those graduating, I can't wait until it's my turn!

I've screwed up my temps now by not wearing pajamas the past two days. I think I'll need to find a pair, it's supposed to be cooling down anyway.

We are currently "whatevering", DH was tired of waiting and decided that he was okay with the possibility of a baby next winter. So I guess we'll see what happens this cycle. I know that if nothing comes out of it we'll be back to fully CTA next cycle.
