There do seem to be a lot of pgs lately, especially after the long stretch with none. Is anyone keeping track? I noticed that was dropped from the front page of the thread. If we count dex_millie, it's at least 3 this month, right?
I hadn't been keeping track like it was done previously so I dropped it from the front page.

This month there have been several, however I personally don't count mine as a "failure" as DH opted to "whatever" when I didn't ovulate for so long.

I thought you were probably joking. FF has been so weird lately. Remember how it originally said I Oed on cd11 even though I had no signs of being fertile? That was using the FAM O detector! I switched to Advanced for a while and it took the crosshairs away. I switched it back to FAM yesterday and they are still gone. I wonder if they have been changing things with the O detectors.

Babycakes is still waiting but looking good.

Does echo count? She had sort of left the group because she was TTC when she got pg.

Haha! Maybe you are! I'll take it! And technically it shouldn't count b/c we were definitely whatevering and if I am pg it was total user failure!

That's how I feel about mine as well...

Big congrats on all the pregnancies this month! Wow!

Annie- I am so happy for you as it is something you wanted even if unexpected. You know, I think even with the new rules of LTL and HTL, due to your cm you would technically have not been considered safe until cd18 to get p plus three and the thermal shift if I understand the rules correctly. Of course, that is hind sight. I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy.

As for me, I had my first high readings postpartum on the monitor and getting more patches of cm. I had decided to track how often Reid sleeps more than 6 hours at night since that is a requirement of LAM and on the last 8 days it has been 5 times. I still don't think af is going to be returning that quickly since I had patches like that for 4 months after Carter before AF returned. We will see what happens the next little while.

I, personally, don't feel like we should have stats at ALL! lol
If we do have stats, I think we should NOT count people who are "whatevering" (I so love that word! )

I also feel like just because someone "say's" they are CTA and joins the thread never learns the rules and then winds up pregnant really shouldn't count, ywim?

I think we should only count the people who KNOW what is going on, have posted and avoided for at least a few months and THEN if something happens we should count it and post it as user or method failure.

Anyways - that is just my opinion ;-)

I liked the stats when I first joined because it's proof that "it works if you work it". But that was when the thread was ONLY CTA -- it's much more fun this way -- It's no fun feeling sorry for babies all the time, I much prefer to celebrate a long-awaited oops!

P.S. in pointing out that we've had a real run of BFPs, I did not mean that any of these little soon-to-be-babies are failures! Both of my kids were unexpected and the best "failures" of my life!

I like the stats because it shows that this does work. I think it's important to denote whether it was user or method failure. I agree that the stats should only contain those who are strictly CTA and not those who don't really know what they are doing. Anyone not trying but not preventing shouldn't count since that's pretty much TTC in my book. I mean, if you aren't preventing, you almost certainly will get pg eventually.

That means that, technically, we only have 1 or maybe 2 pgs this month. And the 1 that is definite is a user failure so it shows that the method works.

(Failures doesn't mean the babies are failures. It means the avoiding failed.)
Haven't pretty much all the pregnancies been user failure? I don't really keep tabs but I don't remember really seeing one that was a definite method failure...
I think there was one pg a year or so ago, Sk8termaiden maybe?, that DTD on a dry day six days prior to O and she ended up pg. I wouldn't say that was user failure because they did the right thing.

My DH has been known to say "Not all babies are planned but all babies should be welcomed" and I that!
I think that instead of just saying how many pregnancies there are and that they are "user failure" (which I think alot of people might not even UNDERSTAND!) we should go into a little bit more detail.

like
dex_millie (most likely withdrawal failure)
AnnieA (DTD on a day when she was not confident she was safe....or something, that one is a little more tricky )
AnnieA!!

That's so exciting. And very cool your dh is so calm about it.

Including details might be good for newbies who are stopping here, on why any pregnancies happen? That sounds like a good idea.

My dh can be lazy sometimes with w/d and get sort of messy (sorry if tmi), and it leaves me wondering what the chances are then. And with my temps being high the past few months during lp, I can't even think "pregnant" like some others. So I don't even know what we err method ours would be if it happened.

Does anyone want to volunteer to be the new threadkeeper?

I'll do it again unless someone else really wants to.

Yesterday, cramps and backache hit me really hard. I had to lay down for about 30 minutes. I thought that wasn't supposed to happen until was coming. I sure hope it means I'm going to O soon. I'm on cd18 and today is my 2nd day of EWCF.

That is how I get right before I O.........serious serious cramps!! ugh!

Another thing is that I seem to get WAY worse acne when I am about to O then right before ........

Lastly - aren't you the one who is taking maca? what kind do you take and how to do you know how much to take?

This is what I take. I just follow the directions on the bottle. It says 1-2 capsules a day. I'm starting with one a day to see if it makes a difference. If not much difference after 3 months, I'll try 2 capsules.

I did O about a week earlier than usual last cycle and had half as many days of ewcf before O. That's why I decided to start temping earlier this cycle. I still could've waited at least a week.
