ouch!!! those top teeth really hurt!!

My ds is 10 months old. Biting is not the problem, but he has three top teeth and whenever he lets go, he doesn't always unlatch first; he just pulls off and ends up scraping my nipple. Man, it really hurts. It happens because he's distracted and wants to see what's going on around him. I try to hold his head so he can't do it, but he doesn't like that and he quits nursing. I can't avoid all the distractions and interruptions unless I lock my door and put a do not lock sign on it. Then the rest of the children will be completely unsupervised for 30 min. or so everytime I nurse. I'm soooo tired of it. Do you all have any tips about how I can help him not do this??

oops - I mean a "do not knock" sign on the door

I'm going to move this out to the general Breastfeeding forum since it's a fairly common issue.

bumping your thread. I just did a search and found this - I'm having the same problem. She very rarely actually bites me but almost every time the above scenario happens a few times. Help!
