So Yummy - makes me think of Yo Gabba Gabba... shudder.
Ok! We are back from Mexico, yay! Well, I didn't really want to leave, but home is good too, and my big kids come back from the ex's on Saturday, so that's exciting. I missed them like crazy!
Vacation foods that rocked- loads of veggies, salads, meats, some cheese, fruits, excellent coffee
Foods that sort of were crappy, but I was pretty moderate all week- alcohol (wine, tequila, and pina coladas, mainly.) and potato chips. oy
Had rice, a tiny bit, twice, and one meal I had rice, beans, and corn when the cook made us authentic mexican food, and I said yes please! I ate maybe a third of the rice and beans though and only one taquito. Moderation is becoming super easy for me!
I walked on the beach every day, with my boy (hes three) going 1-2 miles in sand each time. I climbed about a million flights of stairs daily, as our bedroom was upstairs in the house, and the beach was down several flights from the house down a hill.
So, in getting back into life,
I want to capitalize on the fitness that I was able to strengthen on vaca, going to clean house and then walk or swim today. Found a crossfit place nearby and want to check it out (can't afford it often, but a drop in every now and then may keep things exciting for me!)
Cut the sugar back out (flan and pina coladas were a big thing this past week)
lower the alcohol, though that isn't really an issue, bc 1-2 drinks is all that even seems good now.
B-black coffee (no raw milk in the house!) and a little green smoothie shared with my boy. barely more than fasting really. lol
L at 1.45- chipotle with mom and sis (still not ready to give up the other people cooking thing!) got a bowl with lettuce, chicken, carnitas, pico, sour cream, cheese guacamole, hot sauce, peppers and onions . Major win? kids got chips and I had 0!!! Felt so awesome after that. I wouldn't normally do the dairy there, but was starving and knew I needed more fat. Ice tea (no soda! woot!)
D- BAS- red leaf, spinach, avocado, feta, steak, egg, bacon, tomato, grilled onions and asparagus, balsamic, olive oil. 2 glasses red wine(major win-I out of habit went and poured a half glass later, and then was like, I don't want this. Poured it back, and made tea)
74% Dagoba dark chocolate and a few blueberries for dessert!
Felt SO great eating basically two huge fatty salads for the day. ahh
Lattes! Went to the farm for milk. First latte in a week and a half. sigh. happy.
Will fast till close to 11 or so, to do 16 hours total IF other than the creamy whole milk.
B- leftover salad with much bacon and fried eggs on top.
D- planning on a roast chicken with roast carrots, beets, onions and garlic. salad
If I get hungry in between there, I'll do a green smoothie with coconut milk and spinach, and blueberries. Going to make a huge thing of nettle/red raspberry/peppermint tea and drink it iced all afternoon while I clean my filthy house.
