Yes I'm testing again tomorrow. I will be 8 DPO.

I tested today and I was almost sure I saw a shadow of where a line would be...but after looking back at it all day I can't see anything there and must have imagined it! How desperate is that? I just ordered some more tests though...

So here's what I've got in my cart sofar:
Mothering Magazine's Having a Baby, Naturally: The Mothering Magazine Guide to Pregnancy and Childbirth

Natural Family Living : The Mothering Magazine Guide to Parenting

The Attachment Parenting Book : A Commonsense Guide to Understanding and Nurturing Your Baby- Sears

The Pregnancy Book: Month-by-Month, Everything You Need to Know From America's Baby Experts - Sears

The Baby Book: Everything You Need to Know About Your Baby from Birth to Age Two (Revised and Updated Edition) -Sears

I looked at the Ina May stuff, and I like her work, but I have some medical issues that make me not super comfortable with a home birth. My local hospital has a birth center-type environment that I can bring a doula to, so I was hoping to meet it all halfway.
Anyway.
I also saw this:
The Expectant Father: Facts, Tips and Advice for Dads-to-Be, Second Edition
~ Armin A. Brott
I was kinda hoping to get DH a book too, I don't want him to feel all left out. Are there any better ones out there?

I think after reading all of your thoughts on tcoyf charting I am going to switch from ff to tcoyf. I didn't know it was free. Thanks ladies! I'm currently on cd 4 so it'll be easy to switch.

I am trying really hard to keep this cycle as stress free as possible. I'm not sure that I'll be doing opks this month. I've got about 15 days to decide though! Last cycle I stressed SO much. I thought I o'd earlier so I tested with opks for 15 days. Then, I was positive that I was pregnant, took like 6 hpts, and still thought AF wasn't going to show up. It was tough on me and DH (who doesn't stress about anything) was laughing and / or telling me to relax the whole time. I think I may be able to still use opks this cycle without stressing. Maybe I got it all out of my system. What do you ladies think? Does it get less stressful with experience?

I ovulated a few days ago. I'm not sure how interesting that is, but I'm really excited about it after having waiting 3 weeks for it to happen.

I won't be testing until ~14/15DPO, though, because HPTs are too expensive here, and my husband thinks it's silly to buy a whole bunch of cheap ones online. Of course, he wondered why I need to buy even one. He said, shouldn't my chart tell me I'm pregnant by changing color or something. (He saw FF's color codes for CM earlier, so I think that's what he meant by color.)

I have The Baby Book, and it's great! Really long, though. I'm probably a bit more mainstream than most people here, but I liked all the info on babywearing, breastfeeding, attachment parenting... plus, the info on child development stages. I think Dr. Sears is a good middle ground. It's also funny when he talks about how little he used to know about parenting when he started out as a pediatrician and how he learned things they didn't teach at medical school.

I didn't know he had a pregnancy book too. I'll need to find that one!

You may still get a BFP.

I posted a few links on the ONE about how most women won't get a positive until at least 11DPO, possibly later.

Weekend Check-In

Name: Sweet.Bee
Date: 5 June 2010
Where are you in your cycle: CD25, 3 or 4DPO
Symptoms if they apply: Been having twinges here and there. I'm not sure what that means.
When are you thinking of testing: ~14DPO
Thoughts: I HAVE FINALLY OVULATED!!!! Yay! FF says I'm 4DPO; I'm thinking I'm 3DPO based on CM and really strong ovulation pain on CD22.
Appointments: None.
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: On the lookout for omega-3 pills that are smaller than the monster ones I have now. I'd also like a chewable multi-vitamin because last time I was pregnant, the sight of swallowable pills made me feel ick.
Do you have any stress triggers: I'm really relaxed and chilling out now that the stress of waiting to O is over.
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Looking for distractions elsewhere. And the outrageous price of HPTs here prevents any early testing.
Partners feelings if applicable: He is worn out from the 2+ weeks of babymaking. I'm giving him a nightly massage, so he's recovering.
Plans for this weekend: Relaxing! We had rain for like a month, and now it's finally hot. The heat makes me sleepy and just want to stay home.

URG.
So much for this cycle. This is kinda gross, but it turns out I have a perianal abscess, which is basically an abscess that happens in the glands behind the perinium. I'm at home on antibiotics waiting to see if the swelling goes down. If it does, I'll be fine in about ten days, if it doesn't, I'm under instructions from my doctor to go the ER to get IV antibiotics and have it drained. It's also internal, which means if they do drain it, a substantial amount of healing time there. Since it's internal, the most likely cause is my own internal flora....
Not only is it incredibly painful, its incredibly inconvenient. Here we finally decided to try to have a baby, and my body is all Nope! Not Yet!

Weekend Check-In

Name: It's still Banana

Date: sat 6/5

Where are you in your cycle: cd 37/ 10 DPO

Symptoms if they apply: headaches, nausea, cramping, and a little too much yeast (TMI!)

When are you thinking of testing: trying so hard to wait until Tues

Thoughts: uhhhh

Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: prenatals, and now jarodophilus (see above TMI)

Do you have any stress triggers: DH, DD1, DD2...wait why am I trying TTC again?

What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Nothing, I am totally stressed out about buying a house that I don't have enough stress for TTC stress. That could also explain the headaches and nausea, not to mention the muscle I strained in my neck...

Partners feelings if applicable: he looks sleepy

Plans for this weekend: I already cleaned the toilet, what more could I hope for?

Weekend Check-In

Name: Hesperia

Date: June 5th, 2010

Where are you in your cycle: Cycle Day 11

Symptoms if they apply: Pre-Ovulation

When are you thinking of testing: Sometime later.

Thoughts: I'm pretty excited about this cycle. It marks our 12th cycle, and one year. I've been feeling a bit down, but have decided to flip that around. I believe this can be and will be our month. On June 21st, we will have been trying to 365 and it is our 2 year wedding anniversary. Could use some positive vibes!

Appointments: YES! I have an appointment. For acupuncture on cycle day 16. I'm very very hopeful for it, and found a place I can afford, as it is on a sliding scale. I hope to go each week.
I also have an appointment with myself everynight for reiki and a good old fashion orgasm after sex

Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: I'm on antibiotics for a nasty sinus infection I've had for over a year off and on, a 14 day course as apparently it was pretty bad. I wasn't sure if they were working at all, but alas, I am starting to feel relief. The meds are over on cycle day 14.

Do you have any stress triggers: Nope! We are moving across country in under 3 months, but I'm excited. Not stressed.

What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Thanking the universe for the gift of delayed fertility (I'm not kidding!), as I have learned so so much. Really letting go of all those feelings of control. Feeling a bit better this cycle being back in the 'trying' mode. Lots of sex.

Partners feelings if applicable: He is beyond ready and making sure we are doing it all the time. He isn't going to let my passive attitude about trying to conceive (ie having sex) put us back this month. I often 'pass' on sex way too soon and find out later we missed ovulation date. :S

Plans for this weekend: Tonight, vegan mushroom gravy and fries with a pint and bowling! Yesterday we went to the River and had a blast, I wish I could link my blog post (see homepage) and tomorrow, and tomorrow, not sure.

Can you switch me to cycle #12 of trying please?

sarahkristin- there is an online one that is free but the actual software is only a one time fee of $35. It's totally worth it to me, esp. since we'll be going back to CTA after we conceive.

samy23- there is still time

Sweet.Bee-

elonwy- I hope you make a speedy recovery without any further interventions I couldn't agree more with banana- keep yourself healthy go really heavy on the probiotics!!!

Banana731- kuddos to you!!! you're already 10DPO and you are waiting to test!!! on your stressors I feel the same way many days like during the tantrum at Lowes today, the begging at hobby lobby from the other one. How old are your DDs?

Hesperia- I checked out your blog and I am much in awe of your wonderful attitude. I am also sending wonderful positive vibes for this to be your cycle as well!

---Weekend Check-In ---
Name: you can call me echo
Date: 5 June (this is silly you can tell when we post our message)
Where are you in your cycle: CD29 and FINALLY Oed, FF says 7DPO (wrong, just wrong) and Ovusoft hasn't even confirmed yet. I think I'm maybe 3 DPO???
Symptoms if they apply: I keep thinking I feel twinges and such, but I'm quite sure I'm being hypersensitive and uberexcited, the exhaustion is real though
When are you thinking of testing: gosh I really don't know since I'm not super clear on my O day... I need to hold off until late next week at least
Thoughts: I've totally realized that I have this giant surge of energy around O time.
Appointments: none
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc:
Do you have any stress triggers:
some RRL tea and a food based prenatal here and there (mainly for the folic acid)
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: tonight I indulged in a glass of wine while catching up on this thread
Partners feelings if applicable: hmmm
Plans for this weekend: My FIL is coming in town tomorrow so we'll enjoy a day in our most wonderful river and complete with cook out and watermelon YUM YUM!!! I'm also working on finishing off several knitting UFOs (one of the three bins has already been nearly emptied)! I'm also working on two woodworking projects, one for the girls room from the SouleMama book and one for DH for father's day.

Thank you echo and banana (this makes me giggle like a little girl playing in a tree house), I have indeed been doubling up on my normal probiotic. I have chosen not to go to the ER today, as I feel like it *might* be getting better, but the jury is not out yet. I just really don't want to have a wound on my rear that won't heal for a while, ya know? It's just not sexy.

Weekend Check-In
Name: elonwy
Date:June 5th
Where are you in your cycle: CD1 (such great timing what with everything else)-
Symptoms if they apply: My back hurts and I'm cranky :P
When are you thinking of testing: I've made the promise to not freak out about testing the first few months.
Thoughts: We'll see how I do with that.
Appointments: I think I found my OB-GYN! My regular doc recommended her, and I love my regular doctor, and I just looked this OB up and she went to school in HI where I used to live....I'm going to make an appointment with her as soon as my butt is better.
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: Get Healthy so I can Get Pregnant!
Do you have any stress triggers: my health atm
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: This board, and vicoden :P
Partners feelings if applicable: He's distracted by work.
Plans for this weekend: Get better. Sleep. Avoid going to the ER.

These are fun!

Weekend Check-In
Name: MoOnFiReGlOw
Date: 6/6/10
Where are you in your cycle: CD18
Symptoms if they apply: Some ewcm and a + opk!
When are you thinking of testing: Not for at least a few weeks!
Thoughts: Honestly I'm in shock! Dh took me on a surprise trip to Seattle with the kids so I didn't even bother to bring the opk's or anything, although I did bring my thermometer Came back tonight and took an opk for funsies and it was +++!! I've been way less anal about everything this cycle and I can tell its made a difference
Appointments: Nope!
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: Not really, but I am going to get rid of a few things like high fructose corn syrup in my diet.
Do you have any stress triggers: life And moving!
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Just realizing that it will happen when it does. My first three boys were first month 'it'll happen when it's supposed to happen' pregnancies and I'm thinking I need to get back to that attitude and this month was the first month I've felt more carefree! I've also decided I'm going to get rid of the thermometer next month and just go with cm. I know my body, I'm just depending on these things to tell me the obvious!
Partners feelings if applicable: Eh, nothing really.
Plans for this weekend: Sleep, Knit, Eat, Repeat

BFN today at 9 DPO.....and my temp has dipped right down below the coverline, so I know I'm not pregnant, but I can't stop myself holding onto a shred of hope until I see blood. Which could be anytime now, and I have mild AF cramps.

samy23 how long is your normal luteral phase?

It's between 8-13 days. So is it too late for it to be an implantation dip? Implantation happens between 6-12 dpo? so Im holding onto a glimmer of hope it could be implantation. Sure I'll be posting later on today that AF has started though...I keep checking for blood.

Weekend Check-In
Name: Waiting4SJ
Date: 6/6/10
Where are you in your cycle: CD20
Symptoms if they apply: FF says O, and my nausea says "correct".
When are you thinking of testing: I was determined not to test until I missed AF but just for kicks I might test on the 18th (my birthday).
Thoughts: Nervous/Excited. BD'd last night just in time for O & it wasn't even planned. I have a feeling that relaxation/good timing may lead to BFP this month.
Appointments: None
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: Attempting to cut down on Caffine. Finding it difficult..
Do you have any stress triggers: Summer classes...
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Cutting out the trying part of TTC. It's so much more relaxing, and while excited, we're not really on a timeline here... no hurry.
Partners feelings if applicable: While not "trying" has made me relax, sometimes I think DH has down-right forgot that we're trying. I havn't decided yet if this is a good thing or not...
Plans for this weekend: American Lit paper, Mom's for dinner, Watch enough 7th Heaven to make my head spin.
