sleep and milk supply...is this bad?

My DS has slept for 6 hour stretches the past 2 nights. While I am NOT complaining, is this bad for my milk supply? He has increased his daytime feedings and cluster feeds before the long stretch of sleep. So he's nursing about every 2 hours or less during the day, then he cluster feeds for about 1-2 hours before sleeping. He is almost 8 weeks old.

He'll get what he needs. Hooray for sleep Your fertility might return sooner rather than later with 6 hour stretches of no nursing. But it could just be a growth spurt and don't be surprised if he changes his schedule again.

If your supply has been good and he's gaining well, I'd enjoy my sleep while it lasts!
If you're worried about your supply because it's already low, I'd consider setting an alarm to pump – which I did –*although it just plain sucks.

My LO been sleeping through the night almsot since birth she was going 5 hours right from day one up to 8 by 6 weeks and by 2 months was going 10 hours which at about 3 months we are still at. My supply is fine shes nurses a TON during the day and is gaining super well, as long as your LO overall weight gain is good there producing a healthy amount of wet/messy diapers they seem to have a good amount of alert time as well then I'd say your fine. Milk adjusts I no longer leak at night but I;m REALLY full my the AM I do pump once in the evening just caues its easiest. (I like have a pumped bottle on hand for DH)
Other possible icky side effect though AF returned for me at 10 weeks,,,

He's definitely gaining well and has at least 6 wet diapers a day, so I guess it's ok? He has been a great sleeper, thank god! He was typically going 4 hours before waking up, but I'll take 6 hours!

I haven't really trusted LAM as a form of birth control anyway...it will suck if AF shows up soon, though
