Not sure if you have seen this in the states but I find it very interesting.
I know the topic of 'nature vs. nurture' often comes up here - so I figured the rest of you would also find this interesting!
BBC1 here has been doing a series for the past 10 years called 'Child of our Time'. Basicallly - since 2000, they have been following a few handful of children born then to the present. They have learned a heck of a lot about people in general from this! Its very interesting!
Currently they are doing the 'Big Personality Test'.
Apparently - personality is divided into five parts - traits we all possess. Openness, Conscientiousness, Extroversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism.
Apparently - they have learned that - whilst on a whole, 40-50% of our personalities is 'nature' (the rest being down to nurture) - Each of the traits averages differently! - Some are much more down to nature whilst others are much more influenced by nurture!
Check it out!
