Thirties Duo fits with prefolds?

I bought 3 Thirsties Duo wraps for my newborn son, but made the mistake of buying the regular sized prefolds...so now I have to buy the infant sized!!

Before I go ahead and buy them, I thought I would post on here and ask if anyone has actually done this, and if the infant sized prefolds even actually FIT in the size 1 Thirsties Duo wrap?

Also, just out of curiosity...does anyone think I could get away with using the infant sized prefolds all the way through his diapered life? ...I think my Mom did it, but I'm not entirely sure.

Yes, I used Thirsties duo size 1 with infant prefolds and they were great! I just got the next size and use with regular size prefolds.
Also regular Thirsties are great with prefolds. The duos are a little smaller but still fit well.
I had to move DD up to regular prefolds just a week ago and she is 19 pounds. The infant sized were extremely difficult for me to snappi and she started getting poop on the covers which doesn't happen anymore now that we moved up.
I would not want to keep using infant size. Maybe if you trifold it but that never works for me, I like to use a snappi.

By 8 weeks/11lbs, a single infant prefold wasn't cutting it with my boy. They just got way too soaked. We switched to Little Lions capri size, and the regular 4x6x4 prefolds. I think we went straight to premiums at about 3 months with my oldest, and with the next two daughters I had some 4x6x4 gerber DSQ that I used from about 10 weeks on, in addition to the premiums (or instead of, when I didn't want that added bulk.) I think you could use the infant size longer than I did for sure, especially with thirsties (part of the reason I switched when I did with my oldest girls was that we had moved on to medium proraps at about 13/14 lbs, and the trifolded infant diapers would be way too small in thos) Since thirsties duos go up to a higher weight, I would assume you'd be able to use the same size prefold until the covers are outgrown, as long as they still provide enough absorbancy for your baby.
