I'm in. I'm Liz. I started eating better and exercising in December and lost 20 pounds, but have been stuck at this weight for about a month. I'm working on changing my diet and getting these last 17.4 pounds off.

Start weight: 142.4 lbs

Joining you all I lost 5 pounds several months ago by cleaning up my diet (eating more fresh, traditional foods in smaller amounts), and I've maintained that loss. But I'm still carrying more than is healthy for me, and I'm just out of shape! So here I come! I've been TTC for months and months, and I not only need something else to focus on, but if I *DO* get pregnant, I'd love to feel hot and healthy

Starting weight: 141

I'm glad this thread was started! I want to get to my goal weight of 115 and I am 120 (and 5'). I am BF and so I am having a little trouble with getting enough calories but not too many...I wrote a post about the 21 day cleanse and Rosemary mentioned it wouldn't be good for permanent weight loss. I didn't think of that so I will add in more things to my routine but I think cutting back on dairy and gluten has been good for me. Trying to get rid of my baby pooch by July 31, high school reunion!

I was in and out over the weekend, but I lost 16.2 pounds for the Memorial Day challenge. Yay! Unfortunately, I seem to have hit a plateau and my weight goes up and down in increments and I have not had a significant loss for more than a week. Boo! I am afraid I am losing my motivation, but will pledge to lose 5 pounds by June 30.

Welcome ladies.

I just had breakfast. 8 oz of Almond milks with 4 frozen strawberries and a scoup of jillian michaels whey protein shake powder. Yummy.

I hope to make it to the Y later today (before work) and drink tons of water. I need to get rid of this water weight I am holding on to.

I'm in again!

I only lost 4 lbs last month, but I'm being optimistic and setting my goal for this month as ending the month at 163, which would be a 6.5 lb loss from my start weight this morning of 169.5. I am about to start AF, which means I don't expect to see much loss in the first week of the challenge.

My strategy so far is to work on figuring out what my trigger foods are, and then just totally eliminate them. All sugar/sugar substitutes/baked goods have already been cut, and I'm realizing that while I don't need to be hard core low carb, bread and pasta need to be seriously restricted/out of my diet, at least until I can re-set my eating habits.

I'm working on increasing my water consumption and having consistent meals in mind so I can eat something yummy and healthy without too much prep/thought required.

Wow, pretty much what I would have typed, word for word.
I was 167 three weeks ago and jumped back up to 171 for yesterdays weigh in. I would LOVE to be 165 by the end of the month. 160 is my goal weight. I was 208 last August when I delivered our fourth baby.

I plan to eat six 300 calorie "meals" per day. I will plan them out, as well, so I don't find myself STARVING and shoveling whatever is in reach at the time, LOL! I also ordered Turbo Jam and will start that as soon as it arrives at my door step, I can't wait!

woohoo. Feeling good. I just got back from the gym. 600 calories are gone.

Did the elliptical today, downloaded 30 Day Shred on iTunes to start tomorrow! I'm planning to alternate between the two... Also drank a lot of Biehler's broth to help me feel like I'm starting off right, clean-eating-wise! Now if I can just get a good night of sleep in - DD has been sick and waking a lot

I should of started today, but I didn't =[ I really need to get my body in shape...and get my weight down, but more so I want to get "toned". I'm not exactly sure where to start or what to do. I have a Pilates video, and free 7 day trial pass for the 24 hour gym, and a field where I can run/walk. Also there is a hill I climb, and I have a bike. I'm too intimidated to go to the gym, and the rest I just need to have consistency. I had a craving for Oreos today, so I bought a pack I guess I should start by getting rid of those, and eating a healthy breakfast. I think I'll check out that protein shake a poster mentioned, I haven't tried those before how is it? Is it a supplement for breakfast?

I'm 5'1 and somewhere between 110-118 lbs, maybe but I haven't seen it yet, 120 lbs. I have a digital scale, and my weight fluctuates, but when I went to the doctors office and got weighed it was something completely different from what I was used to seeing. So...I like to believe my scale is right, but I sure don't look it!

I'll be browsing this forum to see what I can do, I think exercising for 30 minutes, to an hour a day would be good. Then maybe work it up to two?

I am in. I am 5 foot 7 and weigh 154. I have recently lost 25pounds in the past 16 weeks but I would like my ultimate weight to be around 145-150. These last 10 or so are hard to lose.

I am doing jillian micheals 30 days shred, I jog on the mini rebounder and walk alot. I do yoga once a week when I can get to class.

I also take Apple cider vinegar every morning and make sure to get at least a tablespoon of coconut oil each day. I try to eat as good as possible, lower card, no-low sugar, no white flours ect, but it isn't always happening.LOL

I also do a wieght loss group called hot mamas weighing in each week to keep me accountable. I actually won the last 14 week session losing 12.1% body weight and won $400!!! Woo Hoo!!!

I've read somewhere that weight-loss is 80% diet, 20% exercise... By the time I get to the last 5-10 lbs though, I feel like it's a lot about exercise I'm shooting for about 45m a day of intentional exercise and then just being more active with the family, running around the park with DD, dance breaks, etc.

I have been doing the stair stepper and the elliptical. I did a higher level on the stair step machine and burned 400 calories in 38 minutes. It was hard but felt great. Then about 25 minutes on the Elliptical for about 300.

I am going to try out a Zumba class today. It sounds like fun.

I keep hearing about coconut oil and how good it is. What does it do for you? Is it expensive? I know how good Apple Cider Vin is, I just have a hard time taking it. How much do you take of the ACV? Do you take it in water?

Talk about some great motivation. That is so cool. Good job.

It is Jillian Michales shake that you get at Wal-Mart. I have a hard time eating breakfast and by lunch I am so starving that I pig out. I will often make a shake for breakfast. I will also sometimes have one in the evening after I workout or after I get home from work.

I have tried a lot of shakes. Back in 2006 when I lost a lot of weight I would buy spirutein But it cost a lot of money. This time I looked around to find something else and found Jillian's shake. I really like it. It is only $10 a jar. There is 14 serving in the 10$ jar.

I am down 1 1/2 pounds from yesterday. Water weight. I am 162.5

I've heard that a lot of places. The "Eat Clean" lady (I think) says that it's 90% diet/10% exercise and she competes in physique contests.

--------------------------------------------------------------

I'm on day 2 of trying out the TF/Primal eating type of diet. I've been reading the Mark's Daily Apple forum and I'm curious to see if this will help me lose fat and get more muscle definition (that seems to be the theme of the success stories on his site).

I'm in. I'm 5'9 and 140lbs. I would ideally like to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 130lbs but would settle for 5lbs . A big part of it is that I just want to feel more toned. My belly needs the most work as I was pregnant with twins and I just never bounced back like I did after my other pregnancies.

I have been working out (about 5-6 days/week) for a while using a couple of exercise DVD's but lately I have been adding in an extra 30-40 minute walk to help with the weight loss. Also really trying to watch portion control rather than changing what I think is a fairly healthy diet. There are some days that feel kind of crazy when I have to do my 30-minute work out with two almost 2 year olds (who refuse to nap that day) running around me and then push them in the stroller for a walk (that's like 75lbs!!!) but I am trying to really keep at it.
Healthy eating day, plus got in a 35m walk with DD in the stroller, and 30 Day Shred, Day 1. How is everyone else doing?
aaaarrrrgh. reluctant to join - scared of accountability, not sure I can make the changes.
But anyway, here I am today - 165 today, 5'5, dreaming of 140, ultimately. Would be thrilled with a 5 lb start.

Will try to ride y'alls coattails.

Oh I would love to lose 5 pounds this month. Great thread!

All the exercise is making me hungry But it's also motivating me to go with the healthy stuff... I guess I won't be crushed if I don't lose weight but do feel more toned at the end of the month We'll see!
