So we got the call that I am sure everyone gets..
"You daughter needs to be vaccinated before kindergarten starts, please give us a call.. she needs blah, blah, blah and blah..Give me a call".
So I give them a call.. Izzy has 9 days to start a summer program there and then kindergarten in the fall.. so I need to get my butt in gear.
Spoke to the nicest women on the planet who happens to be the school nurse, I was a little worried, because this is not the women I talked to before, she is no longer there.
Me: Hello, this is dd's mom.. I need to speak with you about her shot record....
Nurse: Heavens, you sound nervous, don't be.
Me: (long winded defensive rapid reasons why I don't want to vaccinate my dd, medical and personal reasons.... **shakes in boots
Nurse: Relax honey, I will send out an exemption for you~
Then she went on to have a 20 minute conversation with me about how she thinks we shouldn't vaccinate either, and that most parents who feel they have to vax are not fully informed, if they were, they wouldn't put there children through it so much and at such an early age.. she then told me that only 1 of her 5 children got vaccinated, and that was only because she thought she HAD to vaccinate the first one.
She was awesome!!!
