Hi Mulvah, welcome! Do you have stats that you want me to add to the first page?
Can you guys believe it is going to be JULY next week? Oh my gosh, where is the time going?
I weighed in this morning at 167lbs. How is this possible? The weight just seems to be falling off.. I just know once I hit the inevitable plateau that it is going to be so much harder now.. The good news is, apparently breastfeeding is working for me too Annie, since I usually hold onto weight while nursing! I wonder if it has to do with a boy/girl thing since I just had my first boy.
I was looking at my wiifit graph, and I started working out on 4/9 at 5 weeks post partum. I had already lost 20lbs of water weight, initial pp weight at that point. My weight on 4/9 was.. 193lbs. Seeing it on there, and then seeing the 167 that I weighed in today, less than 3 months later really puts it in perspective for me...
I have been reading a lot of weight loss blogs too. My two favorites are http://ronisweigh.com/ and http://www.leadingtheweigh.com / (the last one is a weight watchers blog). It helps me to stay motivated. When I am hungry and want to snack, I go and read an old post on there.. Or I brush my teeth.
Another thing I have noticed, and someone tell me if there is any science or anything to this, is when I am doing great on my diet, losing weight, and then I slip up and have a snack or meal that isn't "diet" it ends up boosting my weight loss. Obviously this doesnt work if I eat like crap the whole day, but last night for example we had chicken with a cream of mushroom/cream cheese/swiss cheese sauce with white rice. I went to bed feeling really guilty, and today had lost 1.3lbs. The same thing happened last week when I had a bowl of chocolate ice-cream before bed haha. I'm trying not to get too attached to this idea, or I will end up just gaining weight! LOL.
