Thanks! I found some at the store today, but they are not the same brand. I'll have to check the nutrition content to see if they're the same.

UGH. ok fine. FINE. ugh.

I'm back on the wagon. But I went dragging my heels and kicking and screaming the whole way. I REALLY didn't wanna work out today. But I did. I picked my lazy arse up out of bed and did two 20-minute circuit videos after work.

Where is the tantrum smiley when you need one?

I think I've been more exhausted lately because I'm working six shifts, so that's 5-8 hours a day running around serving tables, which actually makes me break a sweat sometimes. But it's no excuse for getting lazy with my workouts. I guess. Whatever out

I feel ya. Sometimes it takes all I have to drag myself to the gym. And I've really been lazy with the pilates videos, I don't think I've done one all week! I should, I get great results, I just haven't felt like it.
You know, running around waiting tables for 5-8 hrs has got to be a good workout, at least for the arms if nothing else.

... I think throwing a tantrum is probably a pretty good workout too, now that I think about it

I'm feeling a little sore and tired today, but very ~punches air~ and happy with myself for breaking the no-workout habit yesterday. So that's good, even if it felt like hell

Still hovering right around 132. I don't think I'll make my goal of breaking out of the 130s unless I somehow manage to lose 2 lbs a week. But the most I've lost so far has been a pound a week, so I'm not too optimistic.

I dare to say I have broken through my plateau. I don't "officially" weigh until Monday, but I cheated this week and the number is lower. I am quite proud of myself, I have eaten very well this past week. It's been hard, as I try and stick to lower-carb and I love, love, love carbs. But, lower carb does it for me. We'll see how this weekend goes, for some reason when the weekend gets here it feels like a free for all to me, food wise. Pizza, bagels, junk food, you name it, I'm eating it!

i WAS eating about 1400 calories a day, but then I decided to do Weight Watchers (on my own) and since I am nursing, it bumped my points to like 33 points a day, which comes out to around 1800 calories. Im trying to be strict with the program and eat all my points, but I am now only losing 1lb per week, so I may cut back to around 1600.

anyway, I weighed in this morning at 171.8. I'm going to call it 172. This is pretty great for me considering a month ago I was stuck at 182.

Yay Nola! That must feel great!

I'm still nowhere near the pre-preg clothes, however, I went out yesterday and bought me some new jeans. I feel better just not having to wear maternity jeans anymore, because even though the smaller ones are not loose, I'm just not the right shape for them and they fall down in the back. Plus, let's face it, I'm just sick of maternity clothes and don't want to wear them unless I'm pregnant again! And I went to yoga today. First time since the baby was born that I've been away from her. It wasn't a really hard workout but it was a great place to start. It made me remember myself a little bit too, if that makes sense. Yoga was something I really loved before I got pregnant, and a great mood balancer for me. And after an hour, I was totally ready to see my little one again (and my boobs were ready too, lol).

Yeah, I am definitley a different shape than before I got pregnant. And I can totally identify with feeling like yourself again.
I stopped wearing my maternity clothes right after I had Emma, even though nothing else fit. I just hated all the elastic waist and feeling frumpy. New jeans will make you feel better for sure, no matter what the size.

I agree that getting out of maternity clothes is a good idea, even if it means buying larger, non-maternity clothes in the interim. The only problem is that I was a size 10 or so right after giving birth, and I was a size 2 prepregnancy! So that's a lot of different sizes to buy as I transition back into my "real" body. Unfortunately I had just given a bunch of size 6s away because I was certain I'd never get that big again. Obviously I wasn't thinking about the aftermath of pregnancy then.

Right now I'm fitting into size 4s, but they're still tight and I'm holding on to weight in my hips and thighs. I'd probably feel a lot better if I just bought some size 6 jeans to wear until I drop a few more lbs and fit more comfortably into my 4s, but I just can't bring myself to spend more money when I just gave a bunch to goodwill. But tight jeans make me feel cranky and fat

I was a size 10, too, and a size 4 or 6 before. What I did was find a very cheap store (Burke's Outlet) that is arranged by sizes and I'd pop in there every now and again and buy a pair of pants or shorts for like $7. I mean, they weren't the cutest, but they fit for the time being.
I did hold onto clothes that were a little too big for me, though, and that's what I've been wearing lately.

It sounds like we're pretty much the same size, at least in clothes. What I bought was Old Navy, size 4, skinny, short Diva -- they're tight, but they're stretchy, a little bit. Because of the stretch, they fit now and they'll fit later too. At another store (Reitmans, I think that might be just a Canadian chain though), I was a 6. I'm also thinking back to all the clothes I gave away some years back when I figured I'd never be a 6 again. Oh well. I probably wouldn't want them back anyway...they were all office-y clothes. Entirely unsuitable to getting spit up on and changing diapers and hanging out with a baby.

So the goal for this week? Increase my walking times. I just found out a friend of mine, who is also post c-section (and gave birth a month later than me) is walking LONG distances. So after I got over momentarily feeling like a slug, I was inspired by that. Maybe I can't go as long as she can, but I can go a little further than I am now.

Yeah, it sounds like we are the same size right now. How tall are you? I'm a shorty, but I always weigh more than people expect me to because I was a gymnast and in kickline for my entire childhood/teen years and I built up some solid muscle from those. I'm not as muscular as I was back then, but I still tend to build muscle fairly easily. I don't think it's genetically possible for me to be model-thin.

Ahahaha, I'm loving the image of you going about your regular mommy duties--burping and diapering and the lot--dressed entirely head to toe in fancy office garb. This mothering thing is serious business, afterall.

40 pounds, wow! I doubt it will take you long to lose the rest if you stick with what you've been doing.
btw, I love pilates!

Sharlla: 40 pounds, good for you! That's a lot of weight!
Kitteh: I'm short too. I say 5 feet, but really I'm just a titch under. I will never be waif thin either. Even at my skinniest miniest, the fact is I've got a sturdy peasant's body. With my low centre of gravity, you can't knock me over easily

And.....waffle house struck again!
But, it was great. I'll get back on the wagon today...hope everyone's weekend is going well
