Does nux vomica really help?

I've been nauseous for 4 weeks now (not pregnant) and eating nothing but rice crackers, basically, and I'm afraid to eat anything else.

My accupuncturist can't see me for another week. but she suggested nux vomica. I've heard that mentioned on here quite a bit.

Did it work for you (please post if no effect, too)? If so, how well did it work? Is it worth trying? I'm scared to make anything worse.

My reg MD thinks its reflux gastritis and I think she's right. I'm taking prilosec and sucrafate from her, for the last 5 days now, but its not working as fast as I hoped and I'm having a particularly hard time at this moment with nausea.

It worked during my first pregnancy but not my third. It also worked most recently when I had the stomach flu this past winter. It worked well and within a reasonable amount of time.

I've found it useful for an array of stomach issues.

It won't make you worse and it can't hurt to try it.
