Hey I'm back! I can't believe I have started this thread two months in a row!! Where is everyone?

Okay - what are your goals and plans for this month. I love keeping track of my cardio/workouts this way. This month, I'm sticking to 1200.

6/1 - 90 minutes. 30 minutes working shoulders and arms at gym/60 minutes gardening/weeding (not a whole lot of cardio here, but I was squatting and sweating the whole time)

My goal is to get in 30 days of at least 30-60 min of exercise. I'm doing a 12 week weight loss challenge program at the Y and need the exercise component to win!

6/1- 15 min workout show on TV with DD, 20 min elliptical, 20 min treadmill

Hello 1000 minute club mamas! I'm trying to start feeling healthier after having baby number 5 in October. The lack of sleep has turned into a cascade of unpleasant side effects including being too sedentary and gaining weight. I'm ready to shed some of that weight over the summer by eating more healthfully and getting moving. Not sure of specific goals yet but will sleep on that tonight. Happy to be here.

Hi Firewoman!!!

Glad to see you! Have you thought about goals? I imagine with 5 babies/kids you are horribly busy and sidetracked!

Good luck to you!

Oh count me in, just the thread I didn't know I needed!

Last week (counting Wednesdays to Wednesdays) I started to get serious about working out. I got in 80 min x 4 days and 50 min x 3 days. That's all brisk walking and using the rowing machine.

Yesterday I took a rest, and needed the time to do other things.

Today hopefully back to my plan - goal is to get about 60-90 min of good cardio in 6 days a week. I know that's a crazy goal, but I found a way to fit it in - a long walk at lunch (I WOH) and a half hour of rowing after the kids are in bed. Then a long row during naps Sat. and Sunday.

It's changing my body composition in a great way. Go muscle!

Would like to get into doing a few stretches and pull-ups in too, here and there. But maybe that will be next week's goal.

Thanks for starting this, support is great!

Hmmm, I'm recovering from a marathon right now ... so I think I'll shoot for just 1000, maybe 1200.

6/3 - 30 min recovery run/walk, 25 min stretching

This is fun, thanks for the encouragement, Lab!

6/1 - 50 min brisk walk, 30 min on the erg (rowing machine)
6/2 - rest
6/3 - 50 min brisk walk, 30 min on the erg
6/4 - 50 min brisk walk, 30 min on the erg (rowing machine)
6/5 - 70 min on the erg
6/6 - 70 min on the erg
6/7 - (expected) 50 min brisk walk, 30 min on the erg

230 / 1000

I'm going to work into doing some intervals in my rowing, especially on the shorter days. But for now I'm just trying to do the time at a good pace. I'm so proud I got 70 minutes in - 14000 meters!

But those classes do sound like they could be fun! Spinning and kickboxing, great!

I am going to have to amend my goal. I've been logging a lot of gardening time - which really isn't cardio. So, for me, I think I should increase my goal to 1500 minutes from 1200.
